regarding a adaptation on a beetle ,my father wonted to do it too, and started something, actualy those bolts wich are hanging over the flywill and that iron is exactly wath it needs to be on a gearbox of a beetle, the problem is that i have taken it down and i don't find it anymore

i have started it today and works fine . i had not fuel(diesel) and i used some oil for steering and is ok. I wonted to warm it up for changing the oil because the oil it had was strange maybe because is from 25 years ago, it was yellow but have not got the fingers lubrication like a oil from our time. will tray a semi-synthetic maybe will change the smoke . i will do a new clip with more details.

@rrdSilva, they never will... they will always think that gas is better because its cheaper, and cleaner than diesel. what they dont know is that they are very very wrong, diesel give more power, may be a bit spendier but you get that back with MPG (in vehicles) and diesel also burns cleaner. they dont realize the black smoke falls back to the ground

@JustinHansen6669 actually, gas is only cheaper than diesel because of its mass production. Diesel don't burn cleaner because of its energic density, but the products of the reation are more easily transformed into harmless subproducts.

diesel actually burns cleaner, and that particulate matter is usually from fuel excessively injected that doesn't burn entirely... some gasser engines also have this issue, but since gasoline is more volatile the smoke is not so clearly visible...

@fordsiera2 maybe it would be cool to do a diesel swap into a volkswagen beetle... i'm considering to do a diesel swap in a beetle for a long time ago, and i was considering to use an air-cooled engine but since there are not too many options a v-twin like this would be suitable... btw what's its displacement and its rated power/torque? maybe wouldn't be bad even into that renault 12 which battery had been used to start this engine...
