I kinda hates to sez this...But this'in ACTUALLY Makes senze to me! My mother's sister on my fathers side, alwaze wuz a'keepin' traks of the ole' Familee Tree..{I jest thought they wuz Nuts!!}
I is from Pennsylvania and my daughters mother married and had a little banjo picker of their own. I would supply a picture but he is sooooooo damn "inbred lookin' and I mean Banjo Boy from Deliverence's son crossed by a Oposum" she would sue me But Sue would agree with me 100%.
For a long time I had only heard Ray Steven's version of this song. Its very suiting for Grandpa Jones to sing of. I love this version. My grandpa always liked Grandpa Jones for his coon hunting songs.
One of my finance professors was talking about this song during one of his lectures. He used it as an analogy for insurance & reinsurance. It didn't make the lecture any easier to understand but we sure had fun listening to the song!
@Medyshel Don't feel bad. I have lived in America all my life and I still don't get it. They must be from Arkansas. My Doctor is from Arkansas and he told me that everyone in his state had the same DNA.
This is a great song of a Red Neck Family. To even thinkup a song like this that works.
