street fighter IV has major shortcomings.

1. no real story and no real story mode

2. the stages lack interaction possibilities. no platforms for example. sth. which has become very common in fighting games these days

3. reduced number of stages

4. very "unspecial" special moves. most of the time u just hear some scratching sounds and a big explosion

all in all a very incomplete unimpressing game.

I like them both, but Tekken has a much evened out story line and people keep waiting to see what happens in the upcoming game & Tekken's storyline was easy to grasp, while I sometimes doubt that Street Fighter even has a storyline - they might as well work up a 100 new characters & features and launch the ultimate street fighter game then bag it up. While Street Fighter is usually limited to QCF/QCB/HCF/HCB moves, Tekken has more technical controls.

A simple tactic like that can easily be countered. Either jump over the hadou's, absorb them using the focus attack, or use a special that goes through them. Ryu and Ken aren't overpowered, they're just easy to use. Even Dan is balanced, and he's supposed to be a joke character.

Street Fighter 4 humiliated with at 2D fighter was and shit all over it. You can pick it up really quickly if you want to. The training mode really does help and it pays off if you use it. I havent had a street fighter since EX plus alpha on PS1 and have been playing Tekkens since then but i think i'm getting quite good

I don't think the anime sequences in SFIV are terrible. I thought it was cool for Capcom to ad them. They are not Ghost in the Shell or Akira quality or anything; but they are kind of cool. The SFIV blu-ray anime and cd soundtrack are sweet additions to the Collector's Edition. 10 out of 10.

Street Fighter IV is incredible. Soul Calibur IV is epic. Virtua Fighter 5 is gorgeous. All three are must buys. The background stage in Soul Calibur IV with a circus going on while you fight is breathtaking. The graphics on VF5 are stunning. Street Fighter IV is simply awesome. Period.

Hot and sexy girls simply are not needed, at all. There are too many and they plague the rough demeanor of fighting games. Most wear absolutely inadequite costumes which would hinder most movement, let alone fighting, and their breasts are ridiculously enlarged, which would have the same effect. A prime example of this is Soul Calibur 4. Most new characters were women, and all the existing women's clothes "shrank". DoA needs no comment, either. They divert from what fighting games are all about

No, I am not. I am just tired of the focus of the women in fighting games being skimpy attire and huge boobs. Sure, they are okay for a time. But mostly its all unrealistic and ridiculous. In the end, there are too many and it has gotten old. The way Setsuka looks in SC4 is laughable. I thought Ivy's outfit couldn't get any smaller either. Fighters like Chun-Li and Viper here are fine for the most part but I am sure they have some lovely little alternate costumes (havent play ST4 to know or not)
