My family owned a cottage at Miller Lake over 40 years ago. There wasn't much there, and the roads were really rough. I visited there again about 8 years ago and was very surprised to see how developed things were. The cottage we used to stay in was now being used as a storage shed for a large house.
I have nothing but good memories of this wonderful place and enjoyed every minute I spent there. I really loved the view of Georgian Bay near Lions Head.
would i be allowed to use this for my music video???????? cuz its amazing, been searching for something like this, couldnt find anything good, until i hit this!...
Awesome video dude. Me and my dad are going to make a trip from Georgia to Bruce Peninsula in February... I've never seen snow before; will there be any?
I lived, grew up on the Bruce Penninsula, im so homesic this video almost has me in tears. I never appreciated how beautiful my land was untill i moved to toronto....thanks for sharing, i so favorited this clip.
Great work, some of those views make exceptional stills too.
for panoramic I used to use PhotoShops Photomerge with a little work and adjusting you get good results, but I got lazy and now use Autopano Pro (fully automated).
take photos with a camera of your choice with 25-50% overlap, Stitch together in photoshop, import into premiere (or after effects, use key framed modifiers to create motion...
Fisheye driving lapse has set the bar incredibly high for any other lapse I see from now on. Incredible way to capture the landscape. I'm amazed everytime!
There is not that much risk with a SLR but you'll notice that for that most part there is some cloud cover and the sun is low... Non SLRs are the real risk.

great vid!
2 questions.
What equipment do you use to make the time lapse while the camera is moving, i.e. in the car with the camera rotating.
And what type of camera do use?
Thanks.

How did you archice the 'freezed' panorama look at 1:08 and onwards? Very interesting technique
fergus247 4 years ago
That was quite simple; I took multiple frames, stitched them together, and used premiere to 'pan scan' across the single panorama frame.
milapse 4 years ago
ok can you give me the whole workflow?
What equipment did you use?

photolapse, premiere, and after effects (just about any NLE will do it)

I love the spot at 3:15 with the dock, the waters moving one way and the clouds overhead moving another way, while panning, Looks magnificent!

Awesome! How exciting! Glad you came to our neck of the woods. Our cottage is very close to Miller Lake at Dyers Bay.

No kidding! I did a driving sequence going out to Cabot head but it just didn't make it into this mix. Beautiful area, loved it!
milapse 4 years ago
You have to post it, Please, please, pretty please! The area near the lighthouse always has the best light at dusk.
We just got back from Thanksgiving weekend there last night. It usually it snows but this time it was hot. We were actually swimming!!
