Well honey I think you are attractive and you are seriously arousing me you should definitely cover yourself up from head to toe, I can´t take it anymore
See, this is my problem with using religious texts for morals. I can appreciate that you seem like an enlightened person, but it's sort of irritating as a non-believer to see the way followers can interpret texts however they want, to justify just about anything. I'm very happy there are people like you who look to your text and see that it tells you to be peaceful and good, but the people who want to use their religion as a justification for horrible things like killing have passages too (??)
If you do not agree to my "liberal values" and "cherry picking" as you so call it, then that is your choice. We are all the same decaying organic matter, and we will end up as such. If you choose to live out your life as you see fit, then all power to you. Just know that death is not the end. Let your belief be to you and let mine be to me.
OneUniqueGod, You seem to have adopted very liberal values and have chosen to chery pick from the Koran the verses that fit your view of the world. I see Christians doing the same thing with the Bible. You're obviously a smart guy, I just don't understand why you identify yourself as a Muslim as you are clearly smart enough to recognize that the Koran and the Bible are just the codified prejudices and superstitions of Iron Age men. Why call yourself a Muslim when you are just a human like me?
He's not cherry picking. how come non muslims cherry pick the Qur'an to defame muslims, and Islam. He calls himself a muslim for the very same reason I call myself a muslim. We both submit our will to that of Allah. what does that mean? Instead of doing anything we feel is right, which normally isn't, to what Allah says is right, and moral.
Nice work bro.. as you said why we don't hear the verse. Well that's the thing that doesn't happen. I had this convo with a few people .. a guy was saying "why don't you muslims say this or that is bad why why why" and over and under his comment were 5 comments each by muslims condemning what he was saying.. and I was like "my friend can't you see over and below your comment.. that IS what condemning is all about" so yes those that want to twist facts will keep on doing it.. :)
Thanks brutha for explaining to the rest of the world about Islam.
It's becoming privalent bashing Islam for practice of few, when we look at slavery in america, manifest destiny, no mention of religous war; heck even iraq and afghanistan.
Yes, it would be hypocritical of a Christian to criticize your religion, but try to think how it looks to non-believers. You all just look silly to us, no matter which being you choose to believe in.
