He does flick his tongue, I guess he just didn't feel like it when I was filming, lol. I'm not sure how many feet he is now, I should check. I need to weigh him too. Sweet healthy guy though. :)

thats a good looking snake, i just got a ghost about 3 months ago... he is still a little guy though. has your snake ever had shedding problems? mine always sheds in about 3 or 4 big pieces instead of just one big piece.. i dont know if thats normal or not.
Ooh, ghosts are pretty! :) Big pieces are a lot better than flaking, and as long as he gets it all off he's doing fine and its normal. We keep ours in a plastic tub with holes drilled along the top for air to hold humidity better, and he gets misted after his eyes go blue pre-shed. But even when he sheds in one piece, he rolls it up like a sock and tears it in a few places. As long as nothing's stuck like flakes of skin or eyecaps, your little guy is doing good!
I wouldn't worry. Mine did the same when I first got her. I got nervous and read online sometimes it's due to poor diet, sometimes its becasue they're not use to their environment yet. But if you said its a baby I would not worry. Just look out for next time she/he sheds.

Ozzy sounds like a sweetie! Your sister's snake sounds like it was scared, stressed, or unused to handling unless you'd been handling rodents sometime beforehand. I'm very sorry you got bit! They really are harmless creatures for the most part, and I doubt your girl will get to biting so long as you're always gentle and patient with her (and wash hands after handling rodents! ;) )

He's a little over 2 years old now, but was closer to one when this was shot. :) He eats one frozen/thawed rat a week typically, or every other week if he's not in the mood. :P The more questions the better, questions always make better pet owners!
uhhhh, i got a baby ball python right now and just wanted to know, say you freeze the pinky and it doesnt take it...do you just re freeze the pinky the next morning or do you throw it out and continue the process
If he doesn't take it right away I leave the f/t food item overnight, and if it's still there in the morning I throw it away. I don't think they take re-freezing well.

Lol! Nothing quite like the smell of snake poo is there? Yeah you've gotta time those thing carefully, I try to wait till my snakes have already pooed before handling but even then sometimes you're just gonna get peed on!

If she yawns like that alot (except after she eats) you might want to take her to a vet, that can be a sign of a respiratory problem
