  • Im gonna show you how to play all that....PSYCH...just kidding!

  • amazing teaching skill

  • I.....thought you were gonna show us how to play all of that?...where is it?

  • lol i love the nonchalant beat at first then....*UBER DRUM FILL#$%#*....

  • He's gonna show me how to play all of that... Yeh right

  • i like how the video ends lol

  • y doesnt he show how to play it?

  • Just like to clarify - the person who posted this video - DOWNVIEW - is NOT Jack Bennett, who is the Aussie drummer in this video. This guy gets Jacks free videos and uploads them to youtube (lame imo). I remember the newsletter Jack did this video for, he never said it was "the best fill ever", they are Downviews comments, not Jacks. Yes, Downviews youtube profile says his name is Jack Bennet(t) mispelled for a start, but then it also says his name is Alex, and he's 30. Jack is Aussie and 27.

  • did he just play some 6 stroke rolls when he started doing the final drumfills?

  • WHY DIDN'T HE SHOW HOW TO PLAY IT?

  • you know what really grinds my gears, rock band drummers who go out and get a drum set after playing that game lol just messn'

  • lol thats wat i did dude, but i really am gonna learn how to play

  • that does piss me off..honestly..idk why but rockband and guitar hero PISS ME THE FUCK OFF!

people who say that "they really help you to play" are morons.

  • i know, im a drummer but im pretty terrible at rock band cause i like to improvise

  • same dude

  • @dustyrose91 that is so true lol i suck at rock band too lol..u cant even do the foot slide on the padel

  • @dustyrose91

That is completely True i love improvising it allways catches up with me when im playing guitar hero

  • he can play but everybody fils the end up their own way. it coms when it coms hahaha. theirs no lesson for that. just roll the drums like............hahaha

  • yeah i played rock band with a bit of drumming exp and could do it easily ish so then i got a drum kit and its the same consept, my friend who drums said the same as he uses practice pads obviously there are more to drums but finnaly a computer game has given some people creativity

  • rock band taught me how to do many different complicated beats, then i took them up on my acoustic kit and could play them with ease, if i had trouble before.

  • r u all dumb. u cant sit there and honestly say that rock band isnt like playing real drums. by saying that you are basically saying practice pads and electic kits aren't playing real drums either. rock band is as close as you can get w/o actually playing a real acoustic kit or electric kit. its much less xpensive and it gives the player a great sense of concept.

  • you cant always do that kind of ending fill. say, you're playing a mellow song, or a light rock song, you'll definitely ruin the sincerity and smoothness. i took it into account that you titled it "final drum fills" which gave me the assumption that you can apply this fill on all kinds of songs. i have no intention to offend you, but, these fills depend on what you play. it's not about how difficult it's executed nor how fast it is, it's about having passion for the instrument and the music. :)

  • Obviously your not a drummer.. rock band drums are a disgraceful joke to acoustic kits. Get a set of real drums so you can actually know what your talking about dude.

  • oh, my god! come on! just because I mention rock band means that i dont play drums? look at my videos then. i have a set of 1986 tama imperialstars, 3 ply mahogany shells and a snare to match. that is my acoustic kit. I have played drums for 6 years. all i did was mention a connection between the ending of a song and the rock band drums. i know what im talking about.

  • this topic isnt really a part of drumming that necessarily needs to be so much structured as it needs to be just done. If youve ever played the game rock band on the drums with the big rock ending, its just like that. you dont think about what you do right then and there, its never structured. I say that doing that is just being nitpicky. it is good to have spontaneous creativity.

  • the game rock band isn't real drumming

  • yeah i know. far from it, but i was just comparing the similarities. in that you dont necessarily need to have ONE drum fill you do at the end of a song, you know? improvise a little bit.

  • It was great but too fast... plzz do it slowly... saludos desde argentina.

  • He could have mixed up the toms instead of going from high to low. Not bad i guess.

  • im gonna show how 2 play all dat well NO U HAVENT

  • Well yeh....that was the joke.....

  • he use diff stick..

  • ok when does he show us how to do it

  • everyone loves our accent. we here from down under are unique. peace out from sydney

  • i don't see how anyone could even watch this video, it's not in focus, i had to scroll down so i didn't go blind... why would you put a video like this up if you can't see a freaking thing?

  • well thats easy!

  • that's not that hard to do...thanx for explaining it tho

  • he is australian , dump people....

  • He's not gay, he's just british. Or maybe he is gay, remember; american 'gaydar' needs a little calibration to detect brits.

  • he's australian, dumbass!

  • when you started i was like wow thats rubbish i can play that. but when u started doing the fills i was like. W0W

  • sounds great but... how am I supposed to do that?

  • Maybe good for those who are still in the eighties or like crap music but for those who are here in 2007 and like good music.........

  • nice drum sound, but why would anyone wanna learn this stuff? it depends on what each person plays, lol. quite naff.

  • malisimo bad

  • if u want to learn them go on to icanplaydrums dot com (youtube won't let me write th actual address)

i have got like some lessons of there and it has made me heaps better

  • great vid but how exactly do u play these things!!!!

  • Hey guys thax... want an autograph?

  • Nice......and the sound of your drumset isn't that bad too. I liked it. Drumming for LIFE!!!!

  • these lesson have helped me so much, check out the results ( of a 12 year old) at jacks insane drum solo

  • dat was great...he really has a fast tempo...waaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

  • dis kid makes it look easy he is amazing i subscribed to his webby n i gt loads of free lessons if u like it u shud 2

  • Yeah, how do you master the one handed roll, I've been trying it for ages with triples etc. it's just not working, I've also tried to do constant quaduples but it seems to take out alot of energy and I don't really want to use it in a gig... Also, this guy is amazing, he's quality, have you ever seen any work from Thomas Lang (creative control), his stuff is quality!

  • dont fuking diss jack.... he is great.

  • Well i disagree with those kinds of comment,,i think jack's a really great drummer...he taught me a lot of things, even i'm advance i still admire those kinds of lessons XP

  • this was bad. was that REALLY It?

    joker

    x

  • nice, check out what ive learned from you and WHAT THESE LESSONS AFFECTIONS ARE, jack's insane drum solo and im only 10 and i have learened SO much from you...THANKS

  • pretty sweet

  • i dont understand what all the fuss is about?a one handed roll is just quick triplets played with one hand manipulating the rebounds into 3 strokes played continuesly this has been around for decades its nothing new!

  • Thats the whole reason why I became a precussionist, right there. Learn the drum set. Good job.

  • its cool that your doin these free drum lessons and stuff, and i learn a lot from you, but you didn't invent the one handed roll did you?

  • i was the first person to have the idea... i posted it in forums for free and that's how jared falk and johnny rabb probably got my invention...

  • mate, i hate to say it, but ur drumming is pony, and u are cack. theres no accents, the groove was not to a click, ur video was blurred, and when i get excited about a video saying end drum fill i expect a 2nd tony royster junior and instead i got that?! you tube is really losing bucks to broadcast this

  • i know i'm trying to keep it easy so that beginners-intermediate can do this!

  • @downview I love you :D

  • @jigalojames dude serious its just to teach anyone how to do a good finish drum fill. drumming and music in general well proper music isnt all about how much better you are then everyone or how much better you say you are serious dude shut up

  • But you invented the one handed roll! your a genius!

  • retard i'm talking to you... fighting on the internet is retarded so i'm going to stop

  • because is an ass and sucks ass at drums...

    1. stop being 7 years old

    2. I invented the one handed roll

  • Retard I made this and i'm probably better than you!

    ask the commenters

  • you showed us how you play it you didn't show us how to play it...

and at the end you're like...

ahy mates i'mma show ya how ta play this here fill...

and then you just ended the video lol

  • y do you say you will show us how to play and it stops?

  • it already shows you how to do it!

  • the very long crash at the end followed by a very large tom pattern is the most common. one of the best ones i think is at the end of 'Endless Sacrifice' by Dream Theater. Mike usually just goes through his whole kit left to right but he always makes it more creative.

  • lol at the camera

  • it doesnt matter about the set...anyways i like dat..am a beginner sumwhat but still i wuold luv lernin that...shoe how to do it...

  • easy...start with your beat... then roll on the hi-hat and crash... then single stroke with hi-hat and crash...play a basic drum fill and a another roll and then the crash!

  • eassier sed then done..lol but y do u say or he say ok am goinin to show u...then it cuts do u hav that part of the drum thingy

  • i only comes with the drummer!

  • u dont need a big set 2 be good

  • don't trust him.. he has too small set to be good

  • ya and you know what many drummers with small are usually the ones that are better than the ones with big kits that play like crap and don't know how to use them... for instance the drummer from led zeppelin... only a real drummer would know that!

  • dude, and this guy sounds awsome. and its john bonham from zeppelin.

  • thanks dude

  • Can you do that really tricky one handed roll with your foot on the cymbal? Man I'd pay someone a hundred million dollars to teach me that one!

  • the size is not intresting. but some more cymbals would bee helpful
