@jw2327 Actually, things that big wouldn't be very smart, so that is realistic, especially if they are land mammals as they have to make up for all the extra limbs it takes to move around on land, they wouldn't have much brain power left to be smart. And as for the cephadromes swimming through sand I can agree that its far fetched, but if you look at games like CoD where you can get shot like 8 times and run around just fine, its the same level of unreality

Please check back on the brains of dinosaurs. That being said, the wyverns of MH are much much larger than an elephant or orca. Therefor they require more brain power. This is explained in one of Stephen Hawkings documentaries actually, I suggest looking that over for a moment, I forget the name. Basically, your comment is invalid.

That's the Eager Cleaver. All the weapons that are now "long swords" were great swords in monster hunter 1, the source of the footage in question.

ya, actually, a world-wide pc version called: monster hunter frontier.

you can play on different servers, and there are tons of people on, and it has all the monsters from all the games besides tri (not sure if the mh-tri monsters are in it, they might be) and it comes out to america in eraly 2010, somewhere from january-march.

You are wrong on several accounts. Monster Hunter Frontier - MHFO from now on - is not world-wide. There are 2 versions I know of, Japanese and Korean, with a chinese version on the way. No announcement has been made to release it in America. MH3 monsters are not in MHFO.

What has been announced is MH3, allegedly to be released 3/31/10. I'm expecting the date to be pushed back but I don't know the facts about MH3's actual release date.

Hey guys, can anyone give me a hand? how can i get Ioprey skin+? i'm new at this game and i can't find "+" skins, and i can't combine the skins with anything same for the "armour sphere+" (i got the game in spanish so maybe i'm translating wrong)

You won't get plus items until you reach high rank quests in the hall (beginning at hr4) or Nekoht's quests in the village (7 star).

Armor sphere+ you can get beginning with hr2 quests (I think) in the hall and 4 star in the village. Your second and third farm mining points will give them as well.

Or combine:

Hercudrome + armor stone

Great Swords should be avoided while playing with others 'cos you end up flinging everone away (which has actually saved me from a Los charge but in general it just annoys me).

1) Set up a japanese psn account (tutorial here on youtube) on your ps3

2) go to the japanese playstation store search for and download Adhoc Party

3) log in to your regular psn account and install adhoc party

Online for Monster Hunter for the PS2 is not available anymore because it was costing too much and there weren't a lot of players (towards the end of all the excitement).

And you can Ad Hoc with Psp on either monster hunter freedom 1 and 2 and probably even monster hunter unite. The program is called XLinkKai

Do not despair, fellow hunter! I once felt as you do "MH on Wii...WTF?!" But through research and patience I have embraced MH on Wii.

MH was cancelled on PS3 because of high production costs. MH and PS3 are not ready for each other.....yet.

Wii having MH3 is a good sign that MH3 will be released here (North America).

The only negative about Wii's online service is the friend code system. Negative to me, anyway.

Memory is an understatement. God damnit, seeing this video makes me so angry. They closed it down because unlike the Japs, we didn't have to pay monthly for it so the company that Capcom paid for the servers decided to change business which meant no more MH online. People begged for the source code so they could host their own servers but there was no reply.

I seriously hope the rumours of MH3 coming to the West are true. They also said we'd have to pay >_>

The company running the server, Snap, were getting out of the "online gaming business". So when they shut down, all the games on their server went down as well.

Resident Evil: Outbreak was also a victim of this and possibly others as well. I mention this so that no one will construe that MH was being singled out for online-shut down.

Monster Hunter 3 is coming out on the Wii. I think they confirm it. I think Nintendo will have their servers. (Hence the name; Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection). So I think they can potentially stay on forever, as long we buy Wiiware games (I think that's how they pay for the servers)..
