While I hate puppy mills, do NOT listen to Wyne Pacelle of the HSUS; he's in it only for himself!! Just like any other good cause, there are always those to take advantage of the good will of the people. Wayne Pacelle uses these videos to raise funds;unbelievably less than 1%, yep one, actually goes to the dogs. The HSUS operates NO shelters. Your money goes to support Wayne Pacelle (who earns over 300,000 per year) and an extensive staff of lobiests. The rest goes to pensions and salaries

Yea, I agree they spend their wheels making all these other laws about care, about limits, about things that affects everyone rather than doing the one thing that will stop this altogether. Make a law against selling puppies in pet shops. Then these millers would have to sell direct and no one would buy when they see where these dogs live. NO PROFIT not puppy millers.

The only law that will work against puppy mills is to outlaw selling dogs in pet stores. It is as simple as that. That is the profit base for puppy millers.

I helped the SPCA of Texas with one of these rescues. I saw the stacks of filthy cages piled high on the backwall. When I first went into the warehouse where they were housing the dogs I couldn't breathe from the smell. I remember washing the paws of the dogs. So many had so much feces on them that you couldn't even see their paws. We had to take cuticle scissors to cut it off so we wouldn't hurt them. Anyone who connects with these hell holes is contributing to animal cruelty!
