Carnifex has definitely taken the lead with their latest release by a decent margin. I wasn't a huge fan of Hell Chose Me or Black Crown so it was pretty even since I liked all of their older albums. Now I say Carnifex > SS.

Besides Scott's vocals are much more genuine than Mitch. Mitch seems like he screams with a loogie in his throat to have a deeper sounding voice, and he layers his vocals way too much and too much synthesizer. Scott's voice is all his own.

Scott Lewis' lows are unreal, and don't get me wrong I do think Mitch is talented and stuff but his screams and growls are just not how I like them. Overall in terms of musicianship I think Carnifex have to win, I love how their songs are just constantly rapid and their breakdowns are just unreal, they use a fair amount of technicality in the Hell Chose Me Album which also helps. Overall I'm gonna say Carnifex, mainly because Suicide Silence's lyrics are a bit crap, I mean "go fucking nuts" wtf?

Carnifex is better. Talent wise and for their love of the music. I am not saying Suicide Silence sold out, but they changed it seemed and popularized themselves to get alot of money. Whereas Carnifex has released 3 albums that are by far, way better than anything Suicide Silence has done. But both are good. Its just that Carnifex is better. And one of the best deathcore bands out there.

Watch the video of how Mitch Lucker and Mark Heylum explain each song within the "no time to bleed" album. All they do is basically get drunk or high, write a riff and base it all around that.
