  • You know, I tried ordering an orange in that vending machine...

  • My orange is augmented.

  • @GmodPlusWoW And my orange is lemon lime

  • sporting a major nostalgia boner right now.

  • i love this music and this game ! relaxing

  • By the way, Denton, stay out of the ladies restroom. That kind of

activity embarasses the agency more than it does you.

  • @DatWittyName Seriously laughed the first time Manderley chimed in with that remark.

  • @DatWittyName How unprofessional.

  • I need help, i have winamp plugin that playes umx files, it playes Unreal music without problems, but Deus Ex music just plays the first part of the song. Is there a way to hear whole songs trough winamp?

  • @ilijad You can try XMPlay, when playing the songs right click the next button to skip to the next sequence in the music, I think the plugin for winamp was made only with the unreal music in mind and doesn't let you skip between the different sequences.

  • ye a loop creeps up in there, but i watched the leaked stuff and the HR doesn't seem to be so "musical"... pitty

  • This music is in Deus Ex Human Revolution too. :D

  • "come on in the retinal scanner can read blood vessel patterns right through your sun glasses" what a game, gotta go for a replay later

  • You guys gotta check our Deus Ex Human Revolution. There's a nice tribute to this song in the first 10 minutes. You can hear it in the leaked gameplay videos

  • I wanted orange, and they really gave me orange in the human revolution.

  • user : JCD

  • Ah now this is how I remember this track, not the slightly different GOTY soundtrack version.

  • go in and go in hard

go in like the us marshalls

  • "A piece of gossip, I hear Anna Navarra likes your style. I´d bet you two would make a nice couple"

  • @mirocu100 i never heard that

  • How unprofessional.

  • @Lavourrin

    Don't think I won't report this!

  • @Lavourrin lol, turn on taps and run out

  • I wanted orange, but it gave me lemon-lime!

  • THIS IS THE SONG!! This game is underrated in so many ways, this is just one more.

  • Hey JC. Mind if I call you JC?

  • @Razgriz4 You may not remember me, but I was at the academy too.

  • 0451

  • 2:00 is to good...

  • I'm converting the UMX files right now with foobar2000 :-)

  • Best bit is 2.04-3.48, brings it all back to me

  • expecting a show?

  • every time I am in some kind of office I hear this track, similarily I hear NYC Streets when I walk some downtown streets in the midnight... and Hong Kong theme when I see market places or something like that :D

  • Its ze maintenance man! He knowz i like orange

  • NO, I WANTED ORANGE.

    IT GAVE ME LEMON LIME!

  • The death music sounds so funny if you die while playing the malkavian mod

  • You'll behave like a professional. That's an order!

  • One of the greatest game tracks ever. Makes you want to reinstall the game and play it again.

  • I wish this played everytime I walked into the office :P

  • How unprofessional

  • Comment removed

  • no its modplug.. the way you convert the UMX also counts... download modplug and u can play and convert the files. in game with cheats enabled type "legend" to play the tracks thru the game :) and no the UMX files are not diff in GOTY and normal or in multiplayer you would get a verson mismatch :P

  • @ralpsathepsychic If you bought the game of the year version of the game you got a seperate cd with music from the game on it, the music on that cd is different, not the actual music in the game that's exactly the same.

  • @phreak761 ah i see what u mean, thanks :) i bought GOTY second hand from ebay and never got this CD.

  • 3:50 If i Fight with My Boss in my office 0:01 If I came to my Office 2:15 Better Payment In My Work ; ) ENJOY!!!!

  • You should have seen the fighting inside Castle Clinton... I cleaned the place out.

  • @JohnnyMidnight1 Yeah well pace youself.

  • Pure cyberpunk.

  • watch yourself, this one's some kinda mech

  • John Carpenter would get a rise outta this track. Still the best game i ever played.

  • Shit, I can't find anything thats negative about this game.. just hearing the music again gives me goosebumps. Will drive home tomorrow, getting my CDs asap.

  • " i wish i was coming with you" that would be a good thing my good man

  • What genre of music is this?

  • @Raiden1000002 Video game music.

  • @Raiden1000002 Awesome genre

  • 2:40 is my favorite part.

  • Just like Unreal, really atmospheric!

  • @Szederp amen brother !

  • Love UNATCO HQ. It was so exciting to return to its offices after dark and dangerous streets...

  • @CJSancheZ1991 You know a game is great when it can make walking around your office and talking to your boss one of the most compelling parts of the experience

  • hearing that music at 2:50 while denton was having an interesting conversation was killer back in the day... and still is

  • I Do Not Move Out Of The Way.

  • conspiracy and groom lake music

  • I wanted orrrange,it gave me lemon lime!

  • nostalgic feelings that come from hearing this are overwhelming, certainly toxic for me.

  • 2:10 onwards best music ever

  • agree, that music was played in the scene in wich manderley told jc that paul screwed up the job because he had a mental breakdown / lost it's nerves

  • I loved the music that starts at 3:50. Necros was the music king back in the day.

  • "man, two Dentons' in the feild. The NFS wont know what's hit em'"

    GENIUS,

you just don't get games like this any more man

  • Tell me abt it bro!!!

  • @0MrRib0 Actually they knew what "hit em" cus Paul was one of them lol

  • @0MrRib0 You just broaght back a whole raft of nostalgia to me in an instant. this game WAS my childhood. People reminisce about high school sweethearts, drinking cheap cider and late night mischief, I think about Deus Ex - as sad as it sounds. No regrets! Best game ever!

  • @SeedsofJoy Thats because Deus Ex makes you think, and ask,and draws you toward the unseen, the mysteries of life.It simply makes your brain produce different brain waves then we normally produce in everyday life.Seek the unseen

  • @0MrRib0 NSF*?

  • @0MrRib0 maybe on day..

  • I heard about the recent "New robotic hand 'can feel'", first thing that came to my mind was Deus Ex :|

I can't love this game enough

  • So awesome... It just kicks ass!

  • How did you rip that?You ripped a PS2 DVD.right?

  • This track is definitely going into the Johnny Midnight franchise.

  • Unatco was perfect the conversations with Sam Carter and Jaime Reyes are so memorable.

i dont rly have high hopes for Deus Ex 3 because they dont have the same producer as in first Deus Ex Warren Spector

  • Best PCgames ever:

    Deus Ex

    Half-Life 1

    Starcraft

    Warcraft III

    Operation Flashpoint

    Diablo

  • Starcraft is on your list, so, well, your right! (except its should be higher lolz)

  • Half Life(1,2)

    Doom 1,2,3

    Deus Ex

The best Evil: Bob Page and G-man.

  • Infested Kerrigan was definitely the best bad guy I've ever seen in a game.

  • Deus Ex

    Oni

    Diablo 2

    Half-Life

    Warcraft 3

they are stand in the best games ever IMO

  • I could have wanted to work for UNATCO the whole game.

Im that kind person who believes in order and i do like the illuminati ending as the best.

  • I am with you on working with UNATCO, order and balence, but at the same time, I like to believe that the right decisions could have still been made.

The illuminati ending is the most entertaining but unfortunatly it is the one least realized in the sequel, the most prominent one is the Helios/JC merge, boring as hell...

Is it just me or in the sequel does JC become a mouthpiece for an AI contingent that just wants assimalation?

  • i didnt trust jc at the invisible war

he seemed think more like a machine than a human being

  • Indeed so, the jargon is appealing if you don't pay attention to what he is saying but he is clearly more Heilos than JC at that point.

  • The cost of the order provided by UNATCO was the power given to Bob Page because of it, which resulted in the worst kind of chaos. Everyone in poverty and dying of a plague he created on purpose to gain power. Sacrificing liberty for security is the most dangerous thing you can do

  • order is good...but it can get too far and end up being a controle issue...i would hate a unatco to come up and exist

  • It is really a gray area, no one is right or wrong, even if they're portrayed as evil people.

  • humm...yeah i guess...but still, its a scary concept to me

  • Sam Carter hates to admit, but does say that they will indiscriminately protect anyone, regardless if they're corrupted or good, and I think that it is true, the government can be severely corrupt but you cannot do anything against it.

  • We finally got to cap some rebels, eh Denton? - awesome. As I said before, best game ever.

  • Bloody Epic this music !

  • Entering Unatco HQ, receiving orders and get to work! I want to play it again and again and again.... Never enough of this awesome game!

  • Only the option to stick with UNATCO could have made the game better.

  • the first time i played i was looking a way or something to make me stay with them instead of sending that orders or wathever they were to tong

  • i play deus ex now and i love it :)

  • ALEXANDER BRANDON !!!!! His music is inspiring the whole system !!

  • the atmosphere of this game is so fucking intense

  • game itself and sound tracks awesome !!!

  • 3:48 I get tempted to go rogue early just to hear that battle theme.

  • 2:50

"He's our enemy now, he's gone JC. The Coalition wants you to understand, that he's just another terrorist, like the ones that have died by your very hand this evening."

  • Deus Ex is a brilliant masterpiece. No questions asked.

They did a great job on the soundtrack too, like they did with UT 99

  • Deus Ex > all

  • my Favorite FPS eer tied with HL. This game is great. THe story, GP, music, chracters were all great. I loved the skill points which actually made you want to do side missions become more powerful. This game did back in the day waht others still cant do today.

  • awesome!!!

  • why does the 2.54 part kicks SO much ass?

    why?

    why?

why this game has a limited gameplay time?

why its not infinite? i could play it for ever!

  • it's one of this questions without answer ;)

  • my favorite song from this game

  • The characters in this game were so well developed. Hearing this music and having your first conversation with Walton Simons was bonechilling. "We're not ready for an introduction just yet." What a fucking badass.

  • CYBERPUNK FTW!!!

  • hell yeah!

  • Sounds like some things have been added from the original tracks. Not a bad thing necessarily, but I can only hope they will one day release a double disc of both versions. Sadly, I fear this will remain a only a hope...

  • This is one of my fav tunes. When I first entered Unatco HQ I felt like I was in the game. Immersion was all over Deus Ex. Best game ever made!

  • I loved Deus Ex's ability to capture the atmosphere of the surrounding environment. Here it literally does sound like steping into the arms of an advanced, organized, justice force bent on elimating world terrorism and spreading peace throughout the land. A shame their was more to meet the eye.. The battle track would have made a sweet addition on a real mission. I accidently triggered it blowing up the wooden cabinet with a GEP, still puzzles me how everyone else become aware sound?

  • Remember from Deus ex EMP granade? You can watch on discovery Show called Future Weapons, one day on this documentary was Future Weapon Called EMP GRANADE.. OMG, Deus ex is portal to future history.. this game predict all things what is going to be...

  • you are absolutely right!

  • lol are we going to be dominated by a fusion of JC and Helios?

  • I remember reading that everything in DE has real life parallels, or is believed to be a possibility in the near future. I don't know about dragon tooth swords, but a lot of times I see science related news that makes me go O SHIIIIIIIIIIIT IT'S DEUS EX!

  • It's true haha, the Deus Ex team did a good job on keeping up with their current events. Some things like the WTC disappearing was just coincidence, but there were actual reasons to believe in things such as corporate consolidation, rising gas prices, fear of terrorism, increasing amounts of chemical spills, etc. There are some ways the game deviates from reality (obviously) like the fact that nanotechnology of this kind is physically impossible, and that the US would ever care about the UN haha

  • How do you know nano tech like this or similar is not real ? ...

  • Well, the unfortunate part is that this is that this is a speculative statement, let me remind you that the book farienheit 451 had a lot of impressive predictions about "future soceity" having been writting in the 50's it has a lot of great predictions of what is going on today, funny how that works. So I believe this game isn't just current events but a logical dicpiction of where the world maybe headed, with some notiable exceptions of course...

  • well, also that fiction, can be influential to reality...take the mobile phone, its basically a better walkie talkie but since sci fi made it up...it happened

most arent predictions that are going to be right just like that...some things probably wont happen, had it not been for the prediction, or fiction to make it up. then again, other things to happen, happen for other reasons

all i can say is, a deus ex world, i would hate it...in game good and interesting, but dont want to be reality

    >_>

  • Hell no, if it was real the rich would be well off and the poor dying from easily curable diseases...wait a minute...

  • eh, it just seems that technology can go too far and be quite dangerous (the killswutch thing, implanted trackers...to the point your hardly a human anymore) just doesnt fit right to me...and if cetain elements of fiction can come true, i hope many deus ex elements dont

its a good game, i like it, its interesting and i like to see how the events unfold, but i would never like it to happen

except for the whole dark, cyberpunk aesthetics...that just looks too cool

    >_>

  • That was the theme of the game, lack of control, through technology, government and ideology, and in all honesty, I think we have lost a lot of that control, things may or may not get as bad as they were in Deus Ex but the game addressed our submission to such elements.

  • aye indeed it did

id hate to be controled by a unacto like force, and at the same time, be scared of terrorist bombings left right and centre, all these upgraded "people", being watched everywhere i go and suspecting of everybody, while they are suspecting me, having possible trackers inside me, not knowing who to trust, which side is more right or not, all because of some illness and greed and power...

plus, the them two legged mechs, dont wanna have one of them short curcuit on you in public

  • The most important thing that Deus Ex taught people who didn't really try to read too much into it was that when you deal with decisions on such a mass scale there is no way to please everyone...

  • of course, there will always be those unsatisfied with whats going on, and those loving it

the worlds too scary to be taken lightly....

  • EMP grenades weren't invented by Deus Ex though, haha. EM damage to electronics (especially tapes and things) has been somewhat well documented for the last half century, and there were things like the chaff grenade in Metal Gear Solid (I can't think of other examples offhand at the moment but there were probably other games with "EMP grenades")

  • OH MAN!!! SO AWESOME! Deus Ex was one of the ultimate games, espionnage, rpg, action, great music and voices... i heard there's Deus Ex 3 being made..

  • oh man. i hope i could get amnesia so i could play this awesome game for the first time again!

in 2:23 , 2:54 and so i got goosebumps.... my spine is chilling ... GREATEST GAME EVER

  • Ahh i have the same wish man!! feelings i got from first time playing this game were unbelievable.

  • Exactly dude! that part especially, from 2:54...and it does remind of the exact scenes from UNACTO.this jus shows how perfect the whole storyline, gameplay, music were blended...Wonderfull Masterpiece.

  • Listen to it from 2:50 and on! That's what i like... There is only one word that can explain that game: AWESOME!

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finallly!! the original pc version ! i can def tell between this and the ps2 one...no modifications here like the other version....very nice...if anyone can tell me where to get the orinigal awesome pc soundtrack..that would be much appreciated !

  • such a great music... Alex Brandon can be a teacher to all electronic music composers... nice stuff.. :D

  • What tool did you use to rip these tracks? i ask because you're missing some of the sounds from the tracks. For example, in this track you're missing a bassline. In the Unatco return track you're missing a high-pitched line.

  • I think you're confusing the original with the GOTY CD versions, the original Unatco music has no bassline and is longer than the GOTY CD version and the Unatco return track obviously does not have that extra high-pitched line you described, if you play through the game you'll see or you could listen to the umx files.

  • Ok mate, thanks for the explanation. It confused the hell out of me! I have listened to these for years from the original UMX files using Modplug and you get those extra sounds in those versions.

  • Really? And the death music too - in the original version it sounded like this - no rich string arrangement?

  • this is the umx decoder, the sound is not good as in game, because UMX, are some thing like encoded audio based on effects and most bass lines, especially made for purpose ( in this UMX is made for the Game) I am Sound Designer and I work on stuff like this.. he based the sound specially for the game, he made that sound in programs who are decode with gameplay and game...something like this.. because of that, sound can't be same as in game.. i think you understand me :D
