I had surgery 2 days ago without anaesthetic. She said she didn't have any. Worst pain I have felt in my entire life. It needed numbing fo' sure.

i've have this procedure done. the worst part are the needles. MY doctor used phenol at the end to cauterize it, but it keeps coming back. I've had teh surgery done 4 times. Now the other side of my nail is acting up

i just had surgery on my big toe on my left toe and that shit hurt. that needle was thick and it went triugh one side of the toe and came threw the other. they had to hold me down. my toe hurt so bad. im on pain pills. please protect yall feet and dont wait till the last minute because they can do earl treatmeants instead of surgery

some grow in then out of the skin and some grow towards the foot which are hereditary and some grown away from the foot which is from poor nail care or someone or thing hitting it

when i had this done they used 2 full needles. i hated the first needle breaking the skin but after wards the only other one that hurt was the tip of the toe

My fried had a really bad big toenail that would gush puss and such he had it removed it vever came back.Once in school he was being the class clown and not making a straight line we had already been there a half hour cause of him so not think I steped on his foot and he teared up and blood was soaking threw his shoe.he was 12 then alot of people would still tear up if they was his age now 22. I'd walk into his house and just smell his toe even if he was upstairs

@nyshockartist because in part 2 the family asked the same question and doctor told them if he didnt then its gona grow back all f-ed up and it will need to be removed agin

you know, i have had experience with engrown toe nails, you want to be removed painless and very cheap? go get a pedicure, im a guy, and im not afraid to have them every 4 weeks, they soak your feet in salt water to soften your nails, then they actualy remove it, painlessly, i felt so happy after it was taken off, it was soo deap, it was already bleeding then, after about 30 minutes of relaxing they removed it ^^

so? I am the same age as you and i had it done on BOTH toes at the same time. The needle doesn't hurt, the anesthetic stings a bit, and you don't feel a thing when your toes are numb. The worst part is afterwards, my toes having been sore to stuff in a shoe for a few days. But the actual procedure isn't all that bad.

When I had mine removed about 12 years ago they stuck a short-tipped needle 4 times in the tip of my toe, didn't hurt that much but it's not pleasant either, it's just a tiny pinch, compared to the pain the ingrown nail gives you it's nothing, specially the pain when you bump your toe!

if you have had it for abour month and half and inflamtion is only as big as a.....marble then will i need surgery? .....if so will it be able to grow back?

This is usually a fairly minor thing. If you are in pain, then I think it is totally worth it. The shots are the worst part and it's bearable. Once they remove what is needed, they can kill that part of the "bed" where it will not grow back.

you cut it short on the side so the skin grows into the gap untill your nail grows into the skin

when u clip ur nail and u cut it to far and u wear tight shoes the skin grows over the toe which it does not get air go on goggle and look k i had my done today man i was in pain not as bad as this just a little one

yea those shots hurt like crazy. my doctor sprayed some really cold water on my foot while giving me the needle so It wouldn't hurt as much.

the only part that hurts is the needle. i'm not gonna lie and say it's not gonna hurt cuz then you'll hate me. lol. basicly when they give you the needle just hold your breath. the rest of it, you can't feel a single thing. oh and one suggestion.... don't watch what the doctor does. it'll scare the crap out of you.

Had this done to both nails!! Injections hurt like hell.. Luckily never had to have thewhole nail removed, just part of it. But because my infection was in the bed of my nail, and I have chubby toes, they had to cut into the flesh... 6 stitches in each toe later it was all done!

omg dude I had this done a few years ago, and it took me two times total. the first time i didn't let the lady finish with the freaking needles cuz she hurt me so bad!!! but the second time it was like the complete opposite - no pain!!! it turned out well, if I had waited even a week longer, they would have had to amputate my toe!!

He says the needle is the only part that hurt except 2 days after that for about a week. And that it's better to suffer for a week instead of for years dealing w/it.

And then I say it seems to me it's like a weight being lifted off your shoulders, not having to worry about stubbing it or someone stepping on it and it hurtin' like a bitch.
