  • Wonderful videos! What would you recommend if you wanted to sort of "blacken" in the detail to create an almost tarnished look? I am so excited to try this stuff!

  • @cindellednic Thanks for the great feedback! I think you'll really enjoy using the Silver Clay. You can use Liver of Sulphur to oxidise the silver. Just dip your silver piecce in a solution until it turns the colour you want it (depending on the conditions - temperature, solution strength etc - it goes through golden ochres, magenta pinks, peacock blues to blue/blown black) then you polish the raised areas to get the contrast. Hoping to post a film about this soon. Have fun!

  • Fun tutorial, thanks for posting. Just one question. What is the percentage of silver after the item has been fused?

  • @whanethewhip - glad u like it! Once the binder has been burned away, during firing, you're left with 99.9% silver

  • what kind of silver clay is this? can i just buy fimo clay in the silver color or do i need a special clay?

  • @aaralynnsmommy This is Silver Clay (Art Clay Silver or PMC) and - once fired is almost pure silver. Silver Fimo is fine if you just want a metallic effect

  • Thank you for making these videos. I just got some art clay (or PMC as we call it in America) and your videos were very clear, very straight forward. I know feel confident to attempt to make my first piece.

  • @JanWilson515 I'm really pleased you like the video - and delighted that it's given you confidence! Let us know how you get on when you've made your jewellery!

  • Hi! I'm an italian girl.I've just watched your 4 tutorial and I would like to thank you so much..I'm going to buy some silver clay but it's the first time for me so I don't know every little important thing abaut silver clay..your tutorial are important for me! may I ask you the name of the cream you put on your hands?..I'm italian so i didn't understand what I have to buy (or...what I have NOT to buy...i heard the word "flammable"...)..thanks for your help! XD

  • @UmoreLunare Hi - I'm really pleased you like the videos - keep watching as we're making more to upload - and we have a new website coming soon! For your hands you can use Olive Oil or the cream mentioned in the fim is called Badger Balm. The most important thing is that whatever you use is organic so that it will burn off during firing. Happy jewellery-making - let us know how you get on! :-)
