read the book PSYCHEDELIC DAYS written by patrick campbell- lyons of NIRVANA....published earlier this year by GRA in San Francisco.
He was the original 60's Psychedelic Songwriters and co founder of that incredible band with alex spyropoulos.......the band is now growing in "cult" stature through the internet....take the TRIP.....read the book....and go to the Happening....you will meet Dali and Hendrix there also!!!
Too right about the name! How on earth did the other lot get away with it? I mean if I start a group tomorrow and call it The Beatles will that be all right? I don't think so!
Sub pop's Nirvana paid them a relatively small amount of cash and so really, if mccartney was willing to face the scores of raging fans and sell the band's integrity for a sum of money, then yes, you most certainly could buy the rights to that bandname.
regardless of whom the critics should target, this is a good song.
I know the competition was stiff back then, but this is very good. Great even. It makes one wonder how groups of much lesser caliber beat these guys in success.
It's a little sad that their name is no longer their's either.
Kurt Cobain sounds like he has a shotgun slug through his brain on this song, huh?

Sadly talent does not necessarily go hand in hand with success. It is also sad that Nirvana now equates only with the grunge band.
