Just the best, in my opinion. He sings with such ease. High notes just float!! Love this singer for sure. I just prefer him in so many roles. Other tenors have been great. I just prefer him.

Comparing this to the 1971 version, here LP is having fun, loving the text and the notes, romping through the melody while christening the serious notes and finishing phrases with power. Consistent, rich, Stunning. This is an artist at one with his song.

dunno, the 1971 version he looks like he posesses more force, in voice as well in appearance, more "regal" if you will, though here it's probably more experience than anything else ^^
