I don't know what the hell is wrong with most of you people. If you have any international wildlife knowledge you know the name elk in N. Europe is used for what Americans call moose.

Secondly, the guy was not harassing the animal. Thirdly, he WAS trying to cut the rope close to the antlers so the moose wouldn't be handicapped by carrying around a tire.

no it wouldnt, moose are part of the deer family & shed their antlers every year just like deer, elk, carabou & stag. he would have got it off himself that day & if not then it would fall off with the antler in a month or two. They carry more raggedy velvet & shrubery on their antlers often so the tire wouldnt have even bothered him.

when the snow melts, go hikeing on deer trails & find some shed antlers.
