@manutdr8 1 Kg of meat requires 16 Kg of wheat to produce and that 16kg could be directly distributed for people to eat. But instead we raise this dairy which is not only expensive but also not good for the climate because of the gases these cows let out which of course increase global warming.

Eating meat isn't even necessary for a humans diet, people say that meat is a good source of protein which is true but there are other good sources of protein which could replace it like f.ex soy.

If you forced people to go green, then you just broke the most important component of all societies,

the culinary arts. Im not lambasting on the culinary arts of vegetarians, all im saying the world isnt really "green" the world will continue to eat meat until were forced to eat soylent green (lol). either way going green is a western world luxury that will never assmilate.

Suddenly in the last decade or so the Anglo/White americans discovered offal was a "delicacy". Unfortuntely this has driven the prices of "offal" way up and, ironically, HAVE made it a delicacy (COST WISE) for Blacks, Hispanics, and Chinese.

@jatkins282004 yes parts of hou hai are pure tourist traps but it is still one of Beijing's hutongs. I reccommend any visitor to Beijing should see it (right next to Bei Hai and Gu Lou) but you're right, they should also go see some real hutongs too. Especially while they are still standing.
