  • Imagine if he removes the mask and...

its Owen Wilson. Their voices are so similar!

  • I wish RDJ could do this in an Iron Man suit. It'd be even more epic.

  • that guy 5 second before this clip began was a dick to him before knowing he was garfield -_-" His face just turned black etc -___-""

  • I laugh at people thinking this is him being fake. People who knows him from before can gladly tell you it's all him. You're gonna feel stupid once promotion starts up next year and you'll notice what a ridic human being he really is.

  • i love andrew

    what a perfect human being

  • i can`t wait for the movie. and to all the raimi fanboys, go suck a fucking dick!

  • What is this shitty ass Halloween costume?! I thought that they would atleast use the original Movie costume with a budget like his movie has... I mean, C'MON, there's not evven any Spider symbol on the back?! WTF?!!?

  • stfu comparing everything to twilight you faggots, if you love twilight so much go jump on its dick and have a wet dream like stephanie myers did, cuz yes, twilight was all a dream for that fat bitch, now stfu talking about twilight ok? anyways how does this compare to glittering vampires? this is spiderman

  • needs a breath

  • Spiderman was a nerd in the cartoons anyway.... Batman is the greatest!

  • @MrDogPsych No he is not.Does that make you feel more confident, knowing you adore the "perfect" character.

Spider-man is so popular because he was easy to relate to. He is cunnig, smart, funny, charming, but underneath that mask he is just a young and scared Highschool kid. that's what made him awesome.

Batman is cool because he is spooky and is a successful man under his ALIAS aswell. he has no real inner conflicts.

I bet that if it wasn't for Arkham/Dark Knight, you wouldn't even look at him.

  • @badkiller2 hes easy to relate too if ur a nerd who spends too much time with his grandma and your scared of hot red head girls who are throwing themselves at you i guess... u def discredited yourself by saying batman has no inner conflicts...

  • @MrDogPsych Oh wow, you think your though because your calling other people nerds?? VERY impressive.

Just because I like Spiderman doesn't make me like him, y'know. You are Shallow, and not worth wasting my time explaining to you why you are wrong.

So i'll just say this: Batman has no inner conflicts, and even if he would, you'd be the last guy to understand them.

  • @badkiller2 How does a guy who dress up like a Bat doesnt have inner conflicts?

He saw both his parents being murdered in front of him when he was 8 by a random criminal. Even Hugo Strange, Scarecrow and Joker know Batman is as crazy as the villains he fight (Other reason he is such an interesting character).

  • @oss182 True, but what you're talking about is not an inner conflict, it's a traumatic experience that affects the character and his development. Nearly every superhero has it, it's almost a must.

An inner conflict is when the character is stuck with a private dilemma he finds hard to come to a solution on, he disagrees with himself and is lost, thus it is a conflict, and since it's private, it's an inner conflict.

  • @badkiller2 To kill the Joker or not to kill the Joker? or any other villain he has encounter? How long can I keep watching over this city? How far should I go to save this city from itself? Thats an inner conflict isnt it.

  • @oss182 That's pretty generalized. Nearly every superhero has these questions, it nothing that you could consider "Batman's conflicts". It might also be categorized with "should I kill or ban doomsday?", "should I stop protecting the city?", since it's the same case. Also, there really is no conflict with whether to kill or not. Batman is a Dark Knight, not an avenger.

  • @badkiller2 I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM BATMAN! (Epic Soundtrack in the background while Batman defeats his fears).

Kevin Conroy, Batman the Animated Series, Season 1, Episode 3: Nothing To Fear.

  • @oss182 Your point being? Do I really need to list Spidey's fears?

This is ridiculous, both are great superheroes, even though Batman isn't really "super", but whatevs. I will not tolerate it, however, that you judge Spidey's credibility for being an awesome superhero with dumb stereotypes.

  • @badkiller2 My point is even Batman has Inner conflicts, every hero-vigilante has inner conflicts.

  • I think I might see the movie now.

  • Come on you can't judge a movie from one trailer. Everybody calm down and accept that it might be epic

  • So cute, and british accent yay

  • I thought it was Owen Wilson under the costume, because of his voice... LMAO

    But then... 0:16

  • People who only knows Spider-Man just for the movies are not true fans...

  • @DAYD111 You say that like it's a bad thing. I hated Spider-Man before the films, and then I realized he's kind of cool. I may not be a die-hard comic book fan from 30 years ago or something, but I still like him, and I'm not ashamed of the fact that I only became a fan from the films.

I love Andrew Garfield, though, so I'm hoping the new films will be better than the last ones.

  • @xXRubella666Xx

Oh, sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I just hate the fact that so many fans gonna dislike Spider-Man all because they're rebooting the series and replacing the actors, a true Spidey fan will like this idea due to the fact is gonna be a little more into the comics than before. At least to clean up the mess from Spider-Man 3.

  • @DAYD111 I agree, it's pathetic. He's a big hero, he deserves to have his story told multiple times. I'm confident that if they give it a chance, they'll like it.

  • Foreals, give the movie a chance. People judge the movie from just a small trailer. Geez...

  • fake

  • like, is he even trying here, you can tell he's just parroting rehearsed lines fed to him

  • this is so phoned in

  • This movie is doing Peter Parker and the world of Spider-Man right. I can't freakin' wait.

  • Oh ill give it a chance, I just think they should have left the old series alone.

  • @Mack488

They did. And this new one is separated as "The Amazing Spider-Man"...

  • lol I am 90% sure this is a joke he made fun of this movie in multiple interviews haha... He calls it "the aracnid film"

  • He, is Peter Parker.

  • my god, he's cute

  • Seems like a nice guy

  • would have been great if tom welling did something like this!!......although...ya know, i guess it wouldnt be much of a surprise :(

  • Fuck all you haters, Spider man will be great.

  • @ obrownmba

    Spider-Man changed my life too!

I've never met a character that i could relate to so much ever before

    in my life..

I get called a nerd, get picked on for being skinny, and I am also an outcast..

I've never felt so connected to a character before ever in my life..

he probably pulled out his speech because he was so nervous that he started

to forget it...if he was REALLY acting then he would have memorized that supposed "script"

  • @ tornoofo

    "gay Twilight tactic"?

that was the the least funny, biased, and idiotic comment I've ever seen..

how does this have ANYTHING...ANYTHING AT ALL to do with Twilight?

    You are a astonishing troll...

  • imagine how many people saw him with the mask on and just walked right on by

  • this is so badass...i cant even

  • hes phoning that in

  • @mudbeast21

you are seriously a heartless shrew if you think that was an act..

and it for by some miracle it was..than that just solidfies him as more

than capable to act as Peter Parker..he has that dorky awkwardness to him..

  • oh he really fits the role well hope the script doesn't suck

  • Comment removed

  • I find myself so nostalgic for stuff like this at times. Congratulations to him for living out his dream. Haters on here lets see you get a chance like that. I'm still working away at mine, however..lmao I can't wait for this movie. I was a fan of the original trilogy, as cringeworthy as 3 was it still had its moments.( Crane scene FTW!!!)

But with that being said, I'm a fan of spider man and I'm always open for a different take on the story. He even looks like Peter!

  • Hhhhmmmmmm the costume suits him.. :)

  • hes like anikins lil brother

  • @pwningl337 he's actually fro America..wiki him he lives in Britain though that's why he has an accent...the guy who plays Batman is British

  • @xXCrimsonArkXx andrew garfield is british....he was only born in america...raised in britain.

  • @OTHsmallvillefan

    He's still techincally American though...

    He's a Amerish xD

  • @xXCrimsonArkXx no technically he is american-british....he has an american dad and british mother...anyway usually wherever you are raised you consider your nationality and andrew considers himself english/british, which he is. I hope it doesn't seem like i am arguing with you xD. If that's the case jerry springer would be british lol.

  • @OTHsmallvillefan

    I know he's british too..

    Hence the term Amerish..

    American+British= Amerish

  • @xXCrimsonArkXx haha Amerish xD might use that one in the future :)

  • why the fuck is spiderman british? fuck that shit

  • @pwningl337

he'll be doing an american accent in the movie, what do you think? jesus.

  • @pwningl337 Actually he is american born with british parents, he is a dual citizen in both countries. Stop being a hater, grow a pair and finally see how british comic book films are saving the industry. He looks like peter he truly means what he says so give him a chance.

  • Now this guy is a true Spider-mam fan not like fake fans who keep hating over the new movie.

  • Gay. Who wrote this script? This seems like a Twilight tactic in a cheap Spidey suit.

  • @tornoofo17 Actually he wrote the speech himself. That's how much he cares about this, he wants this to be good and doesn't want to disappoint. Just because you don't like the speech doesn't mean it's 'gay', gay isn't a synonym for stupid.

  • @tornoofo17 1. You say 'gay' like it's an insult.

    2. The script has nothing to do with this moment at Comic-Con, nor the actor they picked.

    3. Go see Andrew Garfield in, oh, I don't know, any other movie he's ever been in, and THEN try to say that he's Edward fucking Cullen.

  • This is cool!

  • He had me going until all the "Spider-man" changed my life" bullshit. Also busting out the "script" seemed to take some of the genuine heart out of it.

  • @obrownmba Script? It's a speech.

  • Oh god looks like Domino's is serving extra CHEESE today.

  • I'm not much of a Spiderman fan or comic book fan in general but I will say this in praise of Andrew Garfield:I watched "Never Let Me Go" and "The Social Network"(two films I liked a lot)within a day of each other and didn't realize it was the same actor in both until I saw the end credits. To me that's pretty impressive.

  • @Fordham1969 Ya it is so weird haha. He seriously looks 14 in Never Let Me Go.

  • wow hes so fucking cool!!!

  • Dudes and Dudeattes, AG is definaly our Friendly Neihborhood SPIDER-MAN!! Respect man, Respect.

  • now from replaying this really cool video over and over....i think he is the chosen one

  • It's official. I like this guy.

  • Maybe he should learn from Tay Zonday move away from the mic to breathe in.

  • ANDREW. GARFIELD. ROCKS.

  • Only a true fan would wear Spider-man's original costume, the stitched together red and blue pajamas that he wrestled in.

  • What a great speech. I absolutely loved how nervous and shaky he was. It just shows how genuine he is and also humble, instead of presenting it like a cocky person. And of course, I love the accent!

  • @sdflksdfkfh hahaha so stupid. He is the new Spiderman dumbass.

  • @mekishiko1919 I'm pretty sure there isn't some kind of protocol to be a fan of Spider-Man you douche.

  • @mekishiko1919 umm, well if you don't know, he is from the UK. Not everyone can afford to fly out here (California) and have spare time to either. Not even i can come due to money and a lack of car, and im a big spiderman fan. And he is sorta a new actor, and actors are usually busy. So maybe this was his chance to finally come here. Hence, his first comic con... douche

  • someone give him an inhaler , this nerd is out of breath

  • @darkitp Dude what is wrong with you? u seriously have no life if your calling people a nerd because he likes spider man and apparently you like spider man also cause why else would you be on this video? to say he has no life? i don't think so.

  • Just stop judging this movie until you see it for christ's sake! People thought Heath Ledger was a poor choice for the Joker, look how that turned out. Everyone hated Chris Evan's casting for Cap, now everyone loves it. Nearly everyone thought Thor would suck, that turned out pretty damn good. I'm not saying this will be good, but don't just assume it's bad because it's new

  • @quicksnipe23 thank you for talking some sense sir.

  • @quicksnipe23 actually, i think most people agree that thor did suck.

  • @quicksnipe23 yeah t they all can make great movies...thats not the problem..the problem, at least n my opinion , idk bout anyone else, but is the wardrobe..setting..soundtrack...plot holes/line...dialogue ..cast..maybe even camp/comic relief ..the movies come out grat like i said..but theres jus some dissapointments w/ new ideas..n when things look overrated/modern

  • @quicksnipe23 It's capitan american, saying cap is so fucking nerdy and cheesy he's not your friend don't give him a nickname.

    fucking american douchebag.

  • @pandasftuw It's actually Captain AMERICA.

Who's the douchebag? 'Cause it seems like it's turning out to be you...

  • @peacexxlovexxjonas CA P CAP CAP STOP CALLING HIM CAP YOU CHEESY YANK

  • @pandasftuw its actually Captain America spell right whatever you are

  • @quicksnipe23 but... Thor was shit....

  • @quicksnipe23 amen to your coment!

  • @quicksnipe23 spoken like a BOSS

  • is he still fighting over facebook?

  • Thank you so much for posting this! i was going to attend the panel, but the line was too long and I didn't get in, even though I was super early. I wish I saw this in person, but it's just as amazing online. I'm so excited for the movie. He looks like a great Peter. =)

  • Is this the guy from "The Social Network?"

  • @stoogend it looks exactly like him but i would think that that guy would be less jittery under the microphone

  • *pant pant pant*

  • he has a script??

  • Comment removed

  • People are so easily swayed. I'm not saying he isn't genuine, but you have to remember that he is a good actor

  • @InvisibleDiary indeed

  • *claps* Well done, Andrew. That was a brave and awesome thing you did. And at your first Comic Con too? Wonderful. :)

  • Freaking yes. <3 <3

    He is the perfect Spiderman.

  • @fede018 how is this anything like twilight? cuase his hair is a bit the same as that douche from those movies? or maybe your problem is with the fact that the story for this one is a bit closer to the comic book then the first three. tobey did ok but i think andrew looks more like peter parker and cares more about the character then tobey did

  • Spiderman for the Twilight generation :/

  • i remem when no one liked him

  • Will you just marry me already

  • Like a boss.

  • He's freaking adorable!! I think I just fell in love =D

  • He's the coolest person in the world right now.

  • WHERE IS EISENBERG

  • I'm not a big fan of Spider Man, but that was really nerdy and interesting.

  • He's adorable and very sweet. I'm glad he did this during comi-con :)

  • @harryP0tt3rDANfan01 Hey there..what gets me is that obviously a lot of us are Spider Man fan..Peter Parker is Spider Man and Peter is a good guy... so would be nice to see if at least us Spider Man fans could take at least be kind and respectful to one another and try to set an example..when you read some of the nasty comments it is kind of sad how we speak to one another..I am not saying I am perfect, but we should try to be a bit civilized to one another..like "what would Peter do/ say"?

  • WHOA!!!!!! Lyle Lovett !!!

  • You guys call yourselves fans and only started cheering when he took off his mask, while REAL FANS would have recognized his voice. You guys are pathetic.

  • Agora esse cara fez eu acreditar nesse filme!

Now this boy changed my mind about that movie =P

  • its cool how you can see his emotion in how humble he is and how excited he is to be experiencing his first Comic Con. Its such a mind-blowing time the first visit

  • That was pretty fucking cool.

  • I wish I could make a very nice and inteligent comment, but the only thing that came to my mind was: "Bawwwwn!"

    Sweet.

  • it feels weird to watch a reboot when the first movie was a success.but before criticizing, you should watch/know it first...

anyways, many complain about movies destroying a comic icon...what's the thrill of watching a movie u already read and saw?

watching the movie is a choice...so dont get mad...it's a risk...you pay and dont expect it always goes ur way...

for the haters who tell people to grow up...y bother viewing? even we get old, there will still be a piece of a kid in ourselves.

  • I love his American accent

  • @ThisIsAPenPercy i think hes british

  • Was sitting ten rows behind him and could see him visibly shaking and had to suppress the urge to go give him a hug. AG totaly won me and hope wonderful things for him. Also the movie looks AMAZING

  • @chefawkes It's the guy who is playing Spidey in the new movie. That's why people were making a big deal about it.

  • @chefawkes LOL you got pawned

  • This guy is awesome! :)

  • He's shaking like a leaf!! lol although if that many people were looking at me I would just pass out. And just skip shaking and hyperventilating.

  • This guy has more heart than 100,000 Tobeys out there. AMAZING INDEED.

  • God, he is so fucking adorable.

Too bad about the movie looking terrible. I'll go see it anyway, just because he's in it, as well as Emma Stone.

  • I still don't like this new film, I have plenty things to say about why this movie is going to be a failure. So exicted about his speech? Meh, Even I can do this putting more emottions, cmon...

Ah, and the social network wasn't so good as you all say :) Garfield parts were the worst parts of the movie imho.

  • @MultiSamuelson Tobey Maguire destroyed the Spiderman trilogy with his shity portrayal of Peter Parker/Spiderman and by the way Tobey Maguire is a douche bag.

  • @TheSNK1986 He didn't destroy it, those movies were just fine. And I am talking about current film not about Raimi's trilogy - this is a past, we are talking about present and future - this movie imho is going to be a crap, and Garfield speech is just a way to make more money etc.

  • @MultiSamuelson No, Andrew Garfield wrote that to himself because he was very nervous talking in front of people. I just saw the footage at the comic con of the Amazing Spiderman and telling right now this movie is going to destroyed the Raimi's trilogy.

  • @TheSNK1986 really? actor who is nervous talking at front of a huge audience? Do you belive it? :D

Another way to make fans to believe that this movie is what they are going to want. After what I saw, this movie is not related in any way to comic's stories I know. At least first 2 Spider-mans are and I can point out which issues exactly. I d tolerate this reboot, if only there were a different cast and proper suit. They are making this to be so madly different than Raimi's... So pathetic...

  • @MultiSamuelson the Sam Raimi's trilogy wasn't that great move on

  • @TheSNK1986 Im not saying they were great, 1 and 2 Spiderman movies were just good. Nothing more. And I honestly doubt that this movie is going to be good. Will it earn millions of dollars? Yes. But will it be a good Spidey movie? No. That's all for now.

  • Andrew is an amazing actor, and he's a great guy.I think he deserved the Oscar nom for Social Network the most.

He's made me an instant fan with this speech.I really hope the movie lives up to my expectations.

  • Anyone notice next to none Americans play in superhero movies anymore. Christian Bale as Batman. Andrew Garfield(raised in Britain)as Spidey. Henry Cavill as Superman, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, etc. Gary oldman as gordon, It's like damn... can we get some Americans to play American bred superheroes? Those guys are great as their role and we have yet to see Garfield and Cavil but the rest of the world don't do that for us. What's up with that?

  • @spidavenom4 Captain America!!!

  • @spidavenom4 good point man. at least we got Chris Evans for Cap

  • It totally sounded like him at the very start of it. The mask did nothing

  • What a nice genuine guy. Thumbs up to him for being so humble.

  • Andrew Garfield is just so sweet and soulful. Anyone who's seen him in "Never Let Me Go" knows how much of a great actor he is. :)

  • tobey who?

  • @postle4 c'mon, don't be stupid, we haven't seen 5 min of the movie and you already dissing Tobey Mcguire

  • @fede018 i just love that he's so passionate about the role and about spiderman in general. tobey wanted mo money. just like the comment like everyone else.

  • A good followup for that speach would be a -Chuck Norris joke- but with the name -Peter Parker-

  • Is he talking about Spider-Man or Jesus?

  • Is he hyperventilating?

  • He is officially my favorite person. And the perfect Peter Parker.

  • LOL did not see that coming

  • His passion is fantastic! He's so humble.

  • I effing love that he effing loves this role. Many kudos to this man. This made me smile big and wide.

  • This...This...THIS IS GOING TO BE FUCKING AMAZING!

  • He is adorable. It is so nice to see somebody have such a love for what they do. Very cool surprise for the fans.

  • To all of you saying Toby is Spider-Man... wtf no, what the hell is wrong with you? No Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Toby Maguire is just the actor who played Peter and his persona (badly)...

  • Search & Subscribe Elzie Bibbs

  • Toby is and all ways will be the real spiderman!!!

  • @Mrderbydog who is Toby?

  • I thought Tobey McGuire did an excellent job as Spidey, and it's obvious to me that Andrew Garfield is putting his heart into the role100%. I'm stoked about seeing it all on film. I've been reading comics for more than 35 years. Thank you, Marvel Studios! The only thing that bothers me about some of the comments posted on YouTube is how blatantly rude and cruel some people are. It's a real shame that some adults act like children. There's no reason to be rude towards others at all.
