its "theoretically" 40%. barcelona is probably still on paper, while Intel's clovertown is actually a product on the market. i'm sure by the time AMD releases barecelona, intel will release something that outperforms it. it's all AMD 64 and Core 2 all over again.

The issue on the the processors bore me, back then Intel's the leader, then AMD, then intel them AMD and vice versa. Will they stop and use their time more useful than wasting too much effort to be a "leader" or somehow merge.

if they merge, there wouldnt be competition, and as such there would be nothing to drive the market.... think about it.... theres 1 major processor provider, whats the point in advancing technology?

Well those improvements sound interesting and AMD might snatch top spot back from Intel this year... but they need to make the jump to 45nm as fast as possible cause Intel isn't standing on ceremony...

Except CSI keeps getting pushed back, and is nothing more than a HTT clone. AMD wont be going chapter 11...they still sell every chip they make without any problem. And at a profit, too.

Bring on the K8L and DC 2.0/HT 3.0! Looking forward to Intel getting pimp slapped performance wise across the board in 2Q07 with AMD and Intel moving closer towards a duopoly. My next upgrade will be a K8L based processor without a doubt.
