This OoT replica looks amazing, the best one I've ever seen! I was thinking of buying this ocarina (I used to play the flute and I would love to play this), though I've noticed there is a new model that is slightly different from the one I've seen in various videos. Does anyone know if there is any significant difference between them (size, form, etc.), except for the silver band and the triforce symbol? Thanks in advance! :)

@ChibiSakura91 Hi Chibi! Our newer OoTs are slightly more comfortable to hold since we've made them more elongated and thinner from top to bottom, also making them look more like the OoT from the games. Aside from that, they are exactly the same ^_^

I though about starting with Sweet Potato OoT model and later buy something better but is this ocarina a good choice to begin with or you'd qualify it as an instrument for experienced users?

@TheGunNRose Both are okay to start on, but the fingering for this ocarina is slightly easier to get started on because of the linear finger pattern. So, experienced or not, you would probably do okay with this one :)

I got this ocarina in the mail a few days ago. It looks and sounds BEAUTIFUL. It's like a drug, I don't want to stop playing it or looking at it, and whistling or humming a tune just doesn't do it for me anymore.

If you're considering buying this I highly recommend it, I was on the fence ever since the early Nintendo Power ads but it's the coolest thing I've bought in years.

Just ordered this and the same day it when on back order. -_- Annnnxious. I do agree that the STL is more airy from the vids, but their new rupee pendant ocarina looks like it's fine. I might be ordering that one sometime.

But. The ring is coated in real platinum. Pretty sure it's not a ring, more as a VERY detailed outcropping. Most of my ocarina orders will be from songbird from now on. And if you read his history under 'about us' there are some amazing things he's done. Worth the read.

Sort of a shot in the dark, but I would look up "Fipple Bend" and also try altering your breath pressure for the low and high notes. Low notes take next to no pressure.

I love how the light reflects on the holes in a way which makes them look fake, but it is obvious they aren't. Reminds me even more of the game. XD
