  • You need to stop switching the frames. By switching the frames your asking them to go gladiator on those eggs, and babies which doesn't benifit either hive.

  • @LDSPrepper What age is the comb in these videos it looks quite dark, are you simply extracting the honey or cutting comb when you harvest?

  • @permaculture7 The brood box frames are dark but the honey super combs are all new this year. I only extract the honey. I leave the comb so the bees don't have to spend resources on building new comb.

  • I could see a couple eggs in the video, the uncapped larvae looked only maybe 4-5 days old.

  • @ ldsprepper : i am just curious but how is your hive doing now

  • @Primex007 Not well. I am pretty sure it will die. But thanks for asking.

  • @LDSPrepper could you do a video to bring us up-to date on the situation

  • @LDSPrepper BTW take a look at the videos of john pluta he has some good ideas about beekeeping

  • everything comes to he who waits

  • I am so glad for you that things seem to bee moving in the right direction.

  • @GivingItAGo Thank you. I have my fingers crosses.

  • Phew! That's good news! It takes 18 days to build a new queen and a week or two for her to get mated and start laying, usually. A new queen usually does lay a little sporadic and sometimes you'll see a few cells here and there with doubling of eggs etc. (sometimes confused w/ laying worker because of that) Keep feeding that sugar water and especially pollen patties this time of year. Very good move giving them pollen, capped brood, condensing down-they're looking a little short on numbers

  • @chuckarama451 Yup, very short in number. It may be too far gone. I'm check tomorrow.

  • Hoping you have good luck with the bees I've enjoyed watching and learning.

  • @rchopp Thank you. I should have another update shortly.

  • Praying for rain in Texas and your bee's. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @pipe6078 Thank you very much. We could use the rain and a healthy queen.

  • I need for my garden

  • Enjoyed the video. Great job. I have on over wintered hive doing great. Three nuc hives doing way behind. I'm more than likely going to have to combine hives to make it through winter.

  • @V5R7N I may be doing that tomorrow.

  • ROFL, NO ONE could have said it better.. it's a buncha GIRLS.. 'nuff said

  • keeping fingers crossed. Blessings!
