wrong "Mexican", Sao Paulo is bigger, but Mexico City has more people. Mexico City is also less diversed than Sao Paulo, culturely and economically. The only reason I can think about that Mexicans "want" to be big is because they are being dominated by it's bigger Northen Brother USA, while the facts shows that Brazil dominates Latin America, miltarly, culterly and economically and even by size it's even bigger than the USA witout Alaska. Canada is the largest by size, less people and more ice.
Sao Paulo city is amazing, culturally more diverse and cosmopolitan than any other latin american cities, the reason why it doenst have that many supertalls is because city laws dont allow buildings to be taller than a certain height .... I am personally against such ridiculous law!!! I just love it though there is nothing like it in Latin America!
That´s a reason for that. Mexico City concentrate 40 % of Mexican economy and 20% of its population, while Sao Pauo concentrate around 18 % of brazilian economy and 10 % of its population. Brazilian economy and society is more diverse and spread throughout the country than Mexico´s.
No, México City concentrate 28% of Mexican economy. And we are a diverse society too. From the north of the country to the south. We are rich in diverse culture legacy throughout the country. Just a few exaples, North: Tijuana and Monterrey- Pacific sea: Guadalajara and Acapulco- Center: Puebla and Guanajuato Atlantic sea: Veracruz and Tabasco- South: Oaxaca and Cancún and Merida... and so.
That´s true. São Paulo doesn´t have buildings as tall as Mexico´s city. But on the other side it has A LOT of buildings (about 6000), only less than NY and Hong Kong
well, its true. Mexico City has taller skyscrapers than São Paulo.
Torre Mayor in Mexico City is 235 meters tall. The highest skyscraper in São Paulo, Mirante do Vale, is 170 meters tall. Banespa is 160 meters tall. CENU Torre Norte is 159.
Bogota, Caracas, Panama City and Santiago also have taller skyscrapers.
Tallest in the world is Burj Dubai, 808 meters tall. Taipei 101 comes 2nd, at 500 meters.
Sao Paulo has the old and the new business areas, this shot was taken at the old area, if u get to the newest areas, such as Paulista Avenue and Luis Carlos Berrine Avenue you'll sight the Sao Paulo of today. Thanks for the video and welcome to our marvelous city :)
Hello brazil! It's a nice city, it looks a little like Mexico City... the only different thing is the buildings... It looks like Sao Paulo has a lot of buldings 20's to 40's... and Mexico City has tallest ones. Like both cities! They are the most powerful economies in L.A
It's a view from the old downtown. Too many buildings in your front. You should go to some building in Paulista avenue to take a better look of the city. It's a big city, as you can see.
