Maybe I'm seeing things, but it seems like DS9 fires torpedos and misses intentionally at first, to show the Klingons the firepower of the base while trying not to kill too many. Once Sisko gives the order to fire at will, all the torpedos hit their marks.
For the edification of all viewers here, I shall provide you with a translation of the dialogue between General Martok (J.G. Hertzler) and Chancellor Gowron (Robert O'Reilly) in this video clip beginning at time index 1:40...
MARTOK: They fight like Klingons!
GOWRON: Then they can DIE like Klingons! Tear down their shields! Ready the boarding parties!
MARTOK: As you wish. (Louder) ALL SHIPS! CONCENTRATE YOUR FIRE!
Well, that's as good a translation as I can make...
@iankyoko I beg to differ. These images of General Martok were taken before the events in the episodes "In Purgatory's Shadow" and "By Inferno's Light." During those two episodes it was discovered that Dominion agents had kidnapped Martok and tortured him, thus the loss of his eye.
@NCTaikoDrumboy It was found out during the time of this clip, about a year before, the real Martok had been taken by the Dominion. So the Martok you see here is the changeling.
So the Klingons wanted to occupy Cardassia sounds like the trecherous Klingon Cardassian Alliance existed in both the primary and Mirror Universe before the Dominion arrived. However the Federation is more thriving on peace than the Terran Empire so it makes sense that the Federation would continue to thrive while the Terran Empire Fell into Klingon and Cardassian Hands.
The federation is not about war, if the built staions as battle staions and drop the around the neutral zone or take them into war , it wil provoce more war and the lose thear filosofie
you`d think how effective ds9 was against the klingons, the federation would build a heavily armed and shielded warp capable station as a mobile base in times of war, ok it would be slow but it would only need to be moved to support fleets of starships just outside a warzone.
If it were highly mobile... it wouldnt be a station anymore. Ya know.. station.. stationary. I reckon there is an upper limit on the size a ship with warp drive can be. Prolly cant produce a stable warp field to propel a ship that big.
Sorry, nope. And since the ST series has not been released in my region (meaning, I cannot play them even if I had them), I haven't got any other clips of that episode, but it's a good one. Though, there are other clips also taken from that episode.

@NCTaikoDrumboy I don't think that is Martok. He has one eye missing.

Battle scenes have always been my favourite aspect of Star Trek.

1:52 what was DS9 firing at? That is something if they were aiming at the Negh'var or cruisers and missed.

Boy are the Klingons awfully inept in this boarding attempt...

I thought the same thing. Sort of a heavy command/fleet carrier for policing deep-space would be interesting.

Put the make of your DVD player into Google, more often than not there's a code to make it Multi Region.
