The game gracefully ran out of texture memory. If it was a glitch, it would have:

A) Crashed.

B) Rendered them with no texture at all (everything would appear white).

C) Rendered them with the last bound texture (which would look quite random).

Instead, the programmers went out of their way to create an exclamation point texture and use it has a placeholder for any object that couldn't be assigned a texture of its own. It was entirely intentional, and therefore not a glitch.

NO people, this isn't a glitch!!!! those exclamation points are a sign that the level overloaded waaaaay toooo much.This is actually incredily easy to do, just fill up ur therm meter nearly full, then just copy ur whole level again and again! This is also possible to do in ur pod, just keep putting the same decoration in the same spot untill the pod overloads... and becomes invisible =P

Actually, I've noticed that the floor (among other things) gain this texture when something causes the thermometer to not only reach max but pass it.

Basically it's due to waaay too many objects..

Those exclamation points all over isn't a glitch, its just a way of informing you that your levels getting a little too packed. Its deffinetly something your sure to notice too. Thank god you can put ALOT in a level. If you wanna see a bad LBP glitch check mine.(Its a game breaker =( )

I still dont see it as a glitch, emitters cause the bar to rise alot if the # of max allowed to be emitted is high, the more emmiters the more objects, each getting their own physics, then you have to key in how long they last, and that theres constantly more coming out its alot to process, its still just a way to show you that things are going to get laggy if it stays like this. Kinda like if you put 100 sound objects really close set to player proximity and then run by it, its gonna lag.
