Yeah this movie was awesome-- I just saw this for the first time in 10 years, definitely as good or better than "mission to mars"

@alexgets98 When I saw it again I was surprised by how much stuff in Red Planet was "good science". The algae-terraforming thing, having a main ship that stays in orbit, using air bags to soften their landing. The most unrealistic thing was how a solar flare made everything catch on fire. Still compares favorably to tornado monsters and ancient Martians waiting around 3 billion years to give somebody a lift :)

@luciddreamtv yes I have publicly outted you, your mom and me as having aids, strange I know but the people have a right to know.

back on this movie tho, it did have the potential to be something great, in fact the opening scenes where some of the greatest I had ever seen. But there were so many holes in the script that it made it unbearable. been a while since I actually watched it, but the guy falling off the cliff etc, terrible stuff.
