no man, lol, dk had no experience, lost 75 mana for each coil (even if for a whisp is little) and the whisp is alive (70 gold i think not sure) he only loses like 70 gold and some wood for building that. Also DK lose valuable time while moon creeps = move is priceless. Also, psycologicaly is a big weapon from moon

No, the whisp is gone, while you build some building what attacks. Ancient of war, tree of life, ancient of wonder, ancient protector, antient of lore etc. But moonwells or hunter halls or those doesn't. Like whisp builds moon well, but when you do ancient of Wonders, the whisp IS it.

One of the best moves I've seen by moon. As you can see in the top left, moon went late altar and the neutral hero Dark Ranger, whereby huntresses are more easily and quickly made- more easily countering mass ghoul, or more archers/quicker to T2dryads....Going neutral hero caused him not to be able to use mana burn from the usual DH, but this move freed up strategies, in that he wasted DK's mana, AND was able to use the IMBAvsUNDEAD strat of late altar/neutral hero. Hopefully this clears it up

There is a reason why moon does that with his whisp... if you see hero choice from moons side, its DR. You always push DR in early game with undead and you need to have alot of mana on your DK to make a succesfull push, and now the DK dont have any mana left (almost) so he cant push at all... and the damn "lose/win gold" is just bullshit imo. Moon did a great job with his wisp, and saved his ass from a dangerous rush / creepjack.

Great move by moon by doing this he drains out the dk and wit his dh he could use mana drain and do some further harassment if he wanted too. On the other hand it was a mistake for the ud player to dc a wisp cause its just not worth it...ever. it wastes ur mana and he couldve killed it later seeing as the dk is faster then a wisp not that its needed because killing a scout wisp is never TOP priority especially above creeping

Dk without mana isn't no threat. Dk with mana is.

Building the wells and cancel them after is quite cheap (you get the most resources back!) compared to an archer who gets killed by coil.

Also the dk couldn't creep while chasing the wisp-

it all depends on the situation. sometimes using the wisp like that is good. other times he could just let it die. (if moon had no gold/wood left and he needed some fast then it would have been a bad idea +if the UD had statues)

but u can see it early in the replay so the UD is probably still t1 so yeah, moon may have saved about 2 archers by doing his small tricks

I've tested to see how much resources you lose making ancient of wonder twice and canceling right away. You lose 46 gold and 14 lumber.

Forcing 150/270 mana from lvl 1 Death Knight is worth a lot more than 46 gold and 14 lumber.

Not to mention the emotional damage caused to the opponent is overwhelming. ROFL
