I see where everyone is coming by saying he's going commercial... but personally I don't think so.

He owns his own record company, so it's not like they're forcing him to do anything...

And basically he's giving himself a new start... most musicians like change... while a great deal of the listeners don't. This is why Pop-music exists... Personally I love the old Trio (greatest double bassist and drummist around) but I'm definitely giving the new two a go!

but the "new" trio is actually not that new, the drummer i guess played on Three. I think change is important in music ( No Code by Pearl Jam anyone). Some may not like it, some may love it. As a musician you get influences and you go with that flow... at least I do

Your so right. Many muscians say never go commercial never sell your self out and he hasnt. He started his record company way back before he "made it" it controls his music and how it is produce released

Also he hasnt changed musically or personally so there all stupid for thinking he has sold out.

actually nicky was the drummer for most of the Sunrise album. So he isnt saying goodbye..and the trio has changed after almost every album. and cutting your hair doesn't qualify as going commercial...gotta check those facts first =D
