  • Bad news bears breaking training song!!!!

  • It just kills me sometimes... to see people skating as 16 year old kids in the the 90s... and now its 2011... 20 years ago... that means their like 36-37 years old Makes me never wanna grow up...

  • The beggining freakss me out!!

  • damn, doing tre flips with an old school board is 1000 times harder than it looks, especially when you´re used to street skating boards. very very nice vid

  • that is skateboarding

  • That music makes the skateboarding seem easy.

  • i hate to see someone ride with trucks that slopp-e

  • THIS SONG KICKS ASS!!!

  • THIS SONG KICKS ASS!!

  • Classic stuff. Know your roots kids.

  • fucking nice tre bro!

  • that dude has better back 360's then me flat .. and with that board, jesus christ im embaressed! :D

  • GET WET!!

  • Happy days:)

  • Loving the random trampoline montage.

  • was questioning if thsi was real or just edited. then i started realizing the cars

  • hey man how tall are u ?

  • badass flips at 1:37

  • Two VCRs! Hell yeah. That was how you did it back then. I used to hook up my old camcorder (the size of a shoebox) to my VCR and stereo system and make crappy "edited" videos. And of course, put in clips from cheesy TV shows (Batman) and b-movies (Puppet Master). Anyway, nice video; it should have been on SK8-TV.

  • ugly cars in 1990's

  • Holy shit! He was getting down on that old ass board! :o

  • Damn I hit parking garages in Fort Wayne on longboards a lot.

  • how long were u skating and how old here

  • i like the end and the beggining

  • haaaaaaa old school...

  • this is so cool to watch

  • Ha ha ha! I used to live in the Fort and my brother (now 32) used to go downtown and do this with his friends even after being told by cops it wasn't allowed! lol

  • I love this video! It's so cool to see some old stuff again.

You must have watched Ban This and thought; "Hey,let's do a Frankie Hill intro!"

Haha, very well done and much respect for the editing efforts.

I looks so much more relaxed, riding the 1990 boards...

  • oh my god i fuckin love clockwork orange. and great skating

  • excellent .. im same age as you and started skating middle 80s, i still skate , brought a tear to my eye as my friends did similar videos using same editing equipment ,good times, excellent ,excellent

  • i hate old school boards but love the style

  • sweeeeeeeeeet!

  • man

    such a great vid

  • CLOCKWORK ORANGE clip in the beggining, for people who don't know about what that was...A interesting movie, pretty fukked up, but really good...

  • ummmm... i pretty sure i felt like i had been rickrolled at the beginning... that was weird.. truly weird... lmao

  • @flipkid6222 that's how those early videos were. they always put random ass video clips in.

  • lol at the beggining lol

  • im pretty sure thats a clockwork orange lol good movie but old XD

  • Wtf was that in the begging????? but stil nice video

  • now that was sooo AWSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME

THAT was great but what was that atthe beggining?:)well have a great day

  • That was great!! Nice to see flippy tricks can still be performed on 'old skool' boards as well.

  • beautiful olies i love the video its great

  • please please tell me where i can find the craig safan classic on the net !!!!!

:) rad video man rad !

  • Thanks dude. Not sure if that song was ever released. I pulled it straight from the Bad News Bears VHS movie. I'm sure you can fnd someone that has posted it if you run a search online. If not, there are a loft of free software programs that will allow you to pull audio from youtube or other places on the net. peace!

  • dude that was so sick

  • This is the most excellent video ever. So rad.

  • nice

  • whats the movie called in the beginning? EXTREEME video btw!!!

  • craig saffron - life is looking good.

  • please change the music to something more punk, did you tape over a christmas story?

  • the intro is the best!!!

  • wow old skool

  • verry nice vid.! XD

  • Skateboarding must've been way more fun back then. You didn't have to be an uber pro in order to sink your teeth into thse kind of moves.

  • 0: 15 wtf

  • its 'a clockwork orange', my favorite film

  • Nice work. You got some slick moves for the 90s. Takes me back when I used to do Ollie Airwalks off speed bumps and Method Airs off embankments. Good times. Five stars. Pees.

  • Nice :)

  • You used modern and old school skateboard back than?

Exelent video! I like clock work orange part XD

  • damn u guys were pretty good do you still skate?

  • Thanks for the kind words. I still skate, but now I'm 35, so mostly just kickin' it old school. peace.

  • 0:1 wtf

  • Y'all were pretty advanced for 1990! I remember how hard it was to kickflip on one of those old fat boards. Good stuff, takes me back

  • i was wondering if you still skated? i started again after about a 14 year break. i imagine we are around the same age so, it was really cool watching this. i've posted some videos; one old (1991) and some new. check em out.

  • hahaah that was sweet

    1:01 that was gnarly

  • wow! opening with the process scene from a clockwork orange!!! classic!!

  • Wow people must be stupid. You can see old cars, old building logos. This isn't new, this is some old stuff, and its pretty cool to see.

  • in the 90's you couldnt put music in a video? noob

  • yeah you could, linear editing, it's where it all started. That's how we learned in Film School in Intro to editing. Black a tape, insert edit soundtrack, set in points on a big remote control, set outpoints, hit insert edit. Boom set in stone. You kids have it sooooo easy today with your windows movie maker and Imovie

  • nice try. Here's how I did it. footage was shot with 80s GE camcorder that weighed about 10 lbs. put the footage in one vcr and a blank in the other. Hit play on one and record on the other for each trick. Then rewound the skate video clips I just edited and put the tape in the first vcr and another blank in the second vcr. unplug the audio imput to the second vcr and plug in a tape player. Hit play on skate clips and tape at same time and record on second vcr. 3rd generation copy with music!

  • thats very hard

  • I think the trucker hat was later 90s. Never got into that, but I did subscribe to the the chain wallet and cut off army shorts after the h-street videos came out. any body remember that phase?

  • are those Vision shoes????

  • I think I was wearing the old airwalk prototypes mostly, but also had some dr. j converse like Natas and Vallely used to wear. Also wore hi top vans alot. I had some vision street wear shoes in the 80s, but don't think I was wearing them in any of these clips.

  • is that rodney mullen skating???

  • you kids, see someone skating oldskool and you can only think of the mullen

    pataboompatabaam

    get out and skate

  • GET WET in the Fort was the shit back then!!!!

  • nice! That was the meeting spot everyday before heading out to skate spots.

  • whats up with the music...this is the early 90's...gotta have some slayer!

  • bsdBJNSDKGNJKNGKjgbkjNUJNTGIUGHNGNSJKNSKJ

xd xd XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XDDDDDD

    SORRY

  • I skated that park in 1990! They had a really nice halfpipe - with a sheet metal surface.

This is really good skating for 1990. If he wasn't he could've been sponsored for back then.

  • I didn't really ride vert, but that ramp was cool. I used to ride the mini half, which was still like 8' tall and The sheet metal got really hot in the summer. Thanks for the kind words.

  • wtf with the first part??

  • a movie called : "A clockwork orange"

  • nice skating but I think 1990 isn't really old school. to me anyway old school is 1970'2 into early 80's I think we changed schools with the flatland ollie and skating changed forever

  • yea after the ollie everything just took off

  • Oh god..the 90s. The most best times of my life.

  • nice pads. LOL.

  • nice!!

  • does anyone know the old school hats that flip in the front

the kind that you can flip the lids back

anyone remember the name of them?

  • yo that didnt have tre flips back then right wat the trick at 0:58 i think its one

  • I think that's a 360 shuv

  • hahaha

    thats strange

    xD

  • lol at VCRs. damn old school shit so much better

  • i remember skating in '90. super cool vid. thankx for sharing.

  • I realy enjoy the vid AND the music.

    I like your manuals!

    pieter

  • some of the tricks were sketchy XD

  • its the movie "a clockwork Orange" pretty twisted if you havnt seen it check it out

  • is that an ollie? like what is he doing

  • love the 80's nd 90's i havent been doing old skool for long and only know like 7 tricks ive been new school boarding for 12 years but never got to old skool but i cant really remember any of the tricks so please tell me if u remember

  • no-comply, nollie, kickflip, manual, nose wheelie, halavectica, boneless, hand plant, christ air, shove-it, ollie impossible, nose pick, half cab, blunt, japan air, meloncholy, crail grab, stalefish, wall ride

  • YEA! clockwork orange was and still is a kick ass movie

  • Good video, but what is with the music, that's not a skate tune from ANY era.

  • You forgot to say that 360 flip also known as Ossie

  • love the 90s

  • The 360 flip, also known as a 360 kickflip, 360 varial kickflip, 3-6 flip, 3 Flip, Tré Flip, skateboarding trick that was invented by Rodney Mullen in 1979. so technically it is old scholl& looking at this vid prob early 90's...itold school enough in it'S own right,

  • I also challenge the oldschool credibility of this video. 360 flip a set is rad, but not oldschool. Good video part either way.

  • TASTY!!!

  • I wasn't born yet

    hah I love the vid!

  • a bit o the old 'in out in out'

  • this isn't oldschool...

  • You were 4 years old when I made this video

  • mmmm classic skatin', Btw...the intro is from the movie Clockwork Orange, great movie hehe

  • wat is up wit the clip at the beginning

  • if you were that good back then, then you should be awsome now.

  • stupend song

  • stupid song i agree

  • is he apro cus if he is he a rubbish one

  • Happy the Hobo could grind on the skateboard.

  • iv been skating for a year how long will it take for me to learn all this if i skate every day?

  • Aye man, If you're really serious on skateing, Just do a trick at a time, Master the ollie. try some old school stuff, And find your own style in the tricks, can take up to 5 years before you unlock your own skateing potential.

  • bout 5 years

  • wow i wasnt even born then, so i take it you are sick nowadays lol i can do most of that tho :D

  • for the time this was considered excellent but now days it is just what everyday skaters do lol

    may i ask some questions

1: what board did you have? and trucks?

2: do you know anywhere i can order a board of the time? i really want to skate one to see what its like

  • I skated a ton of different boards, mostly H-street boards in the early 90s. My all time favorites were the matt hensley king size and ron allen. In this video, I think I was riding independents, but I used to also ride tracker and gullwing. I also used to ride G&S (neil blender & johnny kopp), vision (gonz) and powell (guerrero, cab and vallely). Now I ride a black label jeff grosso. It has an old school shape with concave. Check ebay for old school boards

  • cool thanks :)

  • esto apesta

  • los tiempos actuales son mejores :P

  • **** sTars **** o.O

  • just cuz the video is old dosent make it old school sk8'n...

old school skating dodnt do that many flip or air tricks

  • lovin the clockwork orabge clip lol i saw that on another inline vid before i think :§

  • Is GET WET still open?

  • Nice! You know about Get Wet! Ya, Get Wet is still there. It's a lot different than it used to be back in the day.

  • Yeah, it was about 1987/1988 when they opened. that is when I lived in Ft. Wayne. I think the owners name was Kevin. He drove a white corvette. There was two other guys that worked there. One tall guy that was in Thrasher once and another guy that made up this logo called "Vato" that he spraypainted on all the boards (by request).

  • A hometown fave. I love it already.

  • wtf

  • it from "A Clockwork Orange"

  • wat the fuckl was that at the beginning???

  • hardcore song!!

  • totally rad . reminds me of Guy Marianoo in video days. thanks

  • must be hard editing with a vcr

  • nice bro hope you are stiil rippen

  • OOOHA JEEA NICE

  • You were pretty good man. Had those 360 flips down...and that was really early on. Steep tails, H-Street and super loose trucks. Those were the days.....

  • LOL, the board is without a nose.

  • YEAH^^

  • Ah, the good ol' days. When you could watch a Shirley Temple movie and eat some popcorn for just 50 cents.

  • What was the most common width for a board back then? Also, do any places still sell them?

  • most common was about 9.5-10 inches. and you can still find them online, just google old school skatebaords. powell peralta and vision have pretty many reissues.

  • RaNdOm start!!

  • Thanks for the vid. Takes me back to the fun times.

Airwalk Prototypes! What?...nothing is wrong with aqua colored shoes!
