  • wow. Can you imagine riding inside, that would be awesome.

  • Ok, now leave it hang there and then call the finance company!

  • Well considering people manage to do this all the time, and that a truck is MUCH stronger than the human body. Could'nt any truck do this?

  • what year was this GMC?

  • @TDRIVE80 it's a '91 through '94 T15 Jimmy. judging by the chrome strip around the bumper caps & side molding, i'd say a '91 or '92 ('93 & '94' had "gold" chrome)

  • looks more like a commercial for the strength of a bungee cord.

  • Eeeeeer SNAP! Hahah

  • LMAO

  • how the hell did they get it down....

  • thats a great advertisement for that rope haha

  • well tundra weighs like 3 times that little thing haha

  • @TheFreakyfixed87 not really.

  • Dude i wanna ride IN it !!!!!

  • Lol

  • Can I ride in it?

  • If that truck could talk it would say. Fuck meeee!!!!

  • Didnt ford copy this a little while ago and hang there f150s by their frames?

  • @dstrong1337 ford hung it from the box to advertise their fancy mounting bolts

  • If they try that now with the same truck, that bodys goin in the river

  • the truck was striped when that ad was filmed. but its still cool you dont see truck bungee jump from bridges.

  • They removed the seats, engine and transmission for that little stunt. Not that impressive when you know how they do it.

  • how did they get it down?

  • I know that bridge. That is the New River Gorge Bridge. It's in Fayetteville, West Virginia. There's no other like it.

  • hell, if i knew my trucks frame was that stron i woulda towed heavier stuff with it

  • I watched this filmed live. I was at the base of the bridge when they dropped her!

It was stock, except I believe that the engine was removed.

  • @n8tureboy smells like bullshit to me

  • @bobrec3GTI

What it smells like to you is of absolutely no concern to me. I live in Fayetteville, WV, the site of the New River Gorge Bridge and I've been here for 18 years. It was common knowledge that this was being filmed around town and I simply joined several hundred other local people and went and witnessed the filming....it you think that I'm lying then that's certainly your right.

  • @n8tureboy how did they get the truck down afterwards?

  • @dindinz666

I didn't stick around to watch them retrieve it , but I'm fairly certain that they hoisted it back up with a cable and some kind of crane like rigging perhaps. I don't think they lowered it, as it was right over the middle of the river. I'm certain they must have lifted it with a cable.

  • @n8tureboy thank you for your reply buddy. nothing that cool ever happend in england.

  • @dindinz666

No problem my friend. Hey, if you want to see something cool then type Bridge Day New River Gorge and watch people jump(parachute) off this very same bridge one day a year legally. Or go to my channel uploads and watch my short Bridge Day film. Base jumpers come from all over the world (including England) to leap from it! N8

  • The only way it could have been cooler is if Obama, Pelosi, and Reid were sitting on the hood.

  • @hanleyfallsmn56245 fuck you ass hole.

  • they should of let it just drop

  • @Hond400ex woulda been way cooler

  • That was a Tonka toy.

  • This was a fresh and unique advertisement. Not just an update of the same old thing. I liked it.

At least it worked like they planned. If you remember an old commercial where they push a car out of a plane, then a parachute opens and it lands safely. Then somebody jumps in and drives it away. They used two cars. With the first one, the chute failed to open. It wasn't in good shape after it landed. It worked like they planned with the second one.

  • This video motivated me to check out the New River Gorge Bridge for the first time, last weekend, over in West Virginia. It's quite a spectacle and worth the visit.

  • You commented the exact same comment on another video that i just watched. lol.

  • They showed the making of this commercial on a show called "How Did They Do That" with Pat O'brien. Very Interesting!

  • GM contracted someone to do this for them .They did not just hook a chain to a Ford truck and pull it back up .They had a crane lift it back up.The crane may have had a few Ford parts on it who knows.

  • That's funny.

  • thats obviously false. if it is a GM product commercial, they will have other GM products there for pulling it back up.

  • what I said was true, say what you want everyone who lives there was out there checking it out that day. The bungee truck was the only GM product on the bridge.

  • if that was a amusement ride I'd shit myself.....

  • Lol, after the commercial...they should'v just it loose and made a crash test video. haha

  • hey! i have one of those! the truck that is. I love my jimmy. i have a vid of it on my youtube account. :-D

  • Ha. I was there when this was shot. I was down under the bridge. New River Gorge, WV

  • did the truck/bungee jump seem legit?

  • Puts those Tundra commercials to shame!

  • yes it does.

  • @StereoMike06 ain'ts you twich ain'ts you itch we ain't no bitch

  • This ad is great. Awesome visuals actually related to the strength of the truck for towing.

  • @gooziddaiejoon Uhhh yea it did........ ill be willing do donate money for you some contacts.....

  • Freakin A! That is a mean ass bungee cord! Like rock.
