Saw the Cure in 1981 at the Werchter Rock Festival in Belgium. Great gig that was displayed on stage then, this concert is good as I liked it. If you don't like the way they look and dress then get lost and go watch MTV shit ! It is about the music not the looks - that is the difference between the 80's and today, : first they must look cool and the rest is remastered shit that doesn't come close to real music.
Cure is still around and perform well imo - who cares how they look- Great music !
Oh this is shocking. After hearing such a bad version of "A Forest" from the same gig, now this... It's even worse. One of the most classic Cure songs slaughtered. I don't get it why, this is really shockingly bad. Sad...

The curecoachella-Set was an absolut disaster and is imho the worst one u can find in youtube. If i saw the Cure live in 1989 it was awesome.
But for Coachella and now it only remained a mess.

painful ....again ! lol tolhurst played the drums in the 70's and early 80's to very easy 4/4 time ...the cure cure moved on to better drums and put simply Jason is very good. Imagine having to learn so many songs . He is good drummer. Am not going to argue the fact with fucking idiots.
It pains me to say this... But I think maybe the Cure should probably hang it up while their legacy is still respected. They seem like a bad caricature of themselves lately. Jason is lackluster drummer, Porl seems like a middle aged goth drag queen, and Robert looks like an unkempt, overweight version of himself. Simon is only the one who seems to have kept up fairly well. The music is also just... bland. I feel the magic is gone, and that saddens me, b/c i loved this band, I really did.
@awbenson0428 Simon does bicycling and probably eats healthier than the others... and yes Jason is a mediocre drummer and is bringing The Cure to it's lowest level ever! (if someday had a low level!). As soon as he joined the band, his amateurish rhythms ruined good songs like ocean,adonais, etc. those songs would sound great with Boris and his uncommon grooves. I pray Robert finds a really good drummer someday... but soon!

i don't know if it has ever occurred to you straight-minded people that it might be robert smith's suggestion (command, i would say) for jason's drum to sound like this as well as his tempo
if this sound doesn't appeal you, you should be criticizing the cure nowadays, and not his drummer =p
They have got to be sick of playing this song after 29 years . I'm not a fan of Jason's drumming either , but Robert must be happy with him or he'd get the boot .

The worst version of Play for Today ever!
It is soooo slooooow and boring, the drummer is sloppy, the guitars sound bad, etc. etc.. Simon is the only one that holds this band!
Change the drummer and use the REAL guitars! not that Schecter that sucks!
