whats the similarity between ralph nader and bob barr? they'll NEVER win! but amongst these 2, nader is beter! barr's stern face makes him look like a radical!
im a registered libertarian and i think it sucks that only democrats or republicans get elected...why dont they let let libertarions compete in the debates?
they dont let them compete because the bildaburg group wont appoint them. Its not a free election if you only have 2 choices. who's to say who is allowed to be on a ballot and who is not? who's to say there can only be 3 political parties in a country? we have been conditioned to think that there are only 2 real parties in america and the libertarians are (we are conditioned to believe) the crazy ones.
Barr, you make me sick! You called for Clinton's impeachment before you got busted by Larry Flynt for the same damn thing you accused Clinton! When is the Lib party going to stop housing rejects from the Democrat & Republican parties and find a real candidate that can win? Who's next to join, John Edwards?? Sen.Mike Gravel should have won the nomination. It is disgusting that Barr became the nominee and this is why no one takes the 3rd party seriously anymore!
no man... thats why our voting system is fucked up because ppl always vote for the lesser of two evils... people need to vote for what the person stands for not the party he is affiliated with...
Are you kidding me? You're country is almost gone and you want to vote for McCain or Obama? You are brainwashed by democracy like most other Americans. Wake up.
the two party system is ruining America. I mean seriously, 1 of 2 voices is supposed to represent the ideals and values of 300 million people: give me a f---ing break.
It's all going back to what your mother told you as a kid. If all your friend jumped off a bridge would you do it too? See libertarians aren't taking votes on what their platform should be. It has a logical basis in the promotion of human rights, and smaller government. There is no wavering between 'today's right and yesterday's wrong' it's just people, their thoughts and ideas, for themselves. I haven't registered libertarian yet, but I"m voting for Barr anyway. it's not a wasted vote at all.
I don't believe in small government , i think a strong central government is essential to a strong nation. I believe in balance as well as i don't want a government too big , but i do want a government that respects my personal rights to privacy and the rights in the bill or rights.
That said i'm voting for Obama , but i respect Barr as an excellent alternative , just don't agree with the small government philosophy.
Tonewall, a strong central government is what lead the country to this problem. Also, a strong central government is accountable to no one, making it more dangerous. With this said, it surprises me not the least that you would support Obama IF what you want is fascism, i.e. a strong central government. Good luck, and may the gods have mercy on your soul.
Hi tonewall The founding fathers had it right please read the Declaration of Independence The Bailout is Big Gov at it's finest! "We the People" loan power to the government In other countries the power resides in Big Government & the Government has control over the people Less government entitlements means less taxes & more money for We the People The most terrifying words in the English language are I'm from the government & I'm here to help Ronald Reagan
I, for the first time in my adult life am mortified at the prospect of a man like McCain or Obama becoming president and throwing every freedom we hold dear being thrown under the bus. I pray every night I dont have to deal with the Gestapo knocking down my door to arrest me, and I am afraid we are going to be getting that, especially if Obama wins.
Barr isn't smiling because this country is in 1 helluva quagmire!
I'm not smiling either!
Unfortunately, the media has been controlling this election from the beginning!
Why wasn't Barr @ the debates? He's a threat to Obama not McCain
The Dems & the media are controlled by liberals and have Big Money coming in from radical liberals from every sector of the country & perhaps outside this country as well
Why else do you think Obama went to Europe in the middle of his campaign?
Your vote for Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr is guaranteed to improve America's future! If he gets at least 5% of the popular vote in this year's election, his party's Presidential campaign in 2012 can receive millions of dollars in voluntary taxpayer funds. It will also automatically qualify to be on state ballots, thereby avoiding long and costly signature petition drives. So do the 'most patriotic good' with your vote, help America build a 3rd major political party!!!

i'd love to see barr, paul, nader, in the debates. this two party system is melding into one. talk about maverick? mccain should have grabbed paul as his vp! i think he'd have alot better chance with that ticket than palin.

Stop using Ron Paul's name? Ron Paul is still registered with the FEC as "eligible" 2008 General Election candidate for President. Not to mention Ron Paul is one of only what 8 Libertarian Party presidential candidates? Not that the user even needs excuse for his/her choice of tags, but only a newb would question the relevance.
oishiiloops: come on-- You are a ron paul supporter... I have emails from you "friend" Ron Paul supports Chuck Baldwin-Bob Barr- Ralph Nader & Cynthia McKinney. He urges Americans 2 vote for 1 of these 4 in several press conferences. ....
Barr was distracted IMHO. This is a governmental failure; mortgage and banks had to lend to unsound borrowers (the "Diversity Recession" of Sailer) based on an unsound ideology. And no Congressional due oversight of banking, Republicans encouraging huge expansions of credit. Too many sleazeballs in government, too few citizens who can analyze and speak out about the swindle. I predict that we'll have more of the same.
Erwin Haas, Libertarian candidate for Michigan's 3rd Congressional District
me too...Barr has A LOT more experience in government than Baldwin (has he even held any elected office?) and will know what needs to be done to get this country back on track
Ron didn't say that exactly IN FACT in several press conferences...Ron Paul is urging Americans to vote for 1 of the 4 --third party candidates...He said that "I'd never pin point one person exactly" That is what he said.
I know he had that press conference, but if you read on the CFL website in one of the blogs he endorsed Baldwin, but I would never vote for Baldwin. The Constitutional Party's platform is in fact unconstitutional.
I agree. Or at least some of Baldwin's stuff is. I know Ron Paul endorsed him, and I like Ron Paul and support him, but I just can't support Baldwin's immigration stance and specifically his protectionist economic policies he wants. So I'm still voting for Bob Barr.

With all due respect, if Dr. Paul knew what was best for our country he would have unequivocally endorsed Mr. Barr. Not scattering his supporters to the four winds.
Barr is a good person with a powerful message but Dr. Paul is n will vote for Baldwin, and there has to be a reason for that. Because he is the best there is out there.

Barrbarian turned his back no the revolution and the american people by trying to isolate himself away from the other third parties when Ron Paul made efforts to awaken people to the republicrat dominance.
Why comment on here loser? why care so much? you don't like it when fellow ron paulites wanna vote for bob barr?? Just cause you got hurt from what happened at the conference. You definitely don't speak for the whole bunch. You go suck on an egg and worship your theocratic candidate.
haha, that was a GREAT response to that jerkoff. i've tried talking sense to him/her about barr before...it doesnt work. i am another ron paul supporter who will proudly be voting for bob barr!
barr is on 44 state ballots, baldwin is only on 35. BOB BARR 2008!
You again? Do you even listen to what Barr says? Why is it so offensive to you that he tags Ron Paul? People interested in Paul basically agree with Barr anyway but for some reason are more concerned with whether or not he is a "CIA plant" as a commenter below so intelligently asserted. Newsflash: You at one point supported a major party, if not, you're lying. If you were in congress during that time wouldn't you regret your votes? I don't see why it's unreasonable to believe that Barr can't.
you make generalizations based on a fantastical position of support for barr
ron paul supporters do not like barr for he is two faced and has turned his back on the movement that is in effort to get america back on track.
news flash - im not a congressman
but if i was i would not endorse barrbarian ;]
i like how you pose tho - as if you have some leverage that would acomplish your goal in attempts to convince citizens that Barr is actuall there for the people ;]
He turned his back on the movement by failing to appear at a press conference of which there is incontrovertible evidence he supports and was involved in? That's complete crap. I defend Barr not because I think he's better than Ron Paul, but because I think the criticism that most Ron Paulers have for him is weak.
He did'nt turn his back. He gave up his 10:30 larger Press club room that he had reserved for over a month, so they could all do the Paul thing in the big room, and he could do his 10:30 in a smaller room at 12 noon. Ron's handlers did'nt put him on the security clearance list even though Press club security notified Paul's organizers that Barr could not enter the Club before 11:30am if they did not give clearance for 10:30. Why did'nt Paul's people give Barr clearance? Call Press Club security.
What would there be to gain from putting a plant in a third party that isn't going to win? You're being a hypocrite, you didn't always think like Ron Paul, did you? Well, neither did Barr. Barr left congress and even made appearances stating that he regretted his actions in congress, so I think it's fairly logical to assume that Barr means what he says. By the way, Ron Paul has no gripes with Barr other than his record, which doesn't really apply anymore seeing how he's now a Libertarian.
I'm voting for Bob Barr whether the system likes it or not. I don't give a fuck if everyones all "your vote isn't gonna count for an independent party." It's my vote and I can vote for WHOEVER I want. Even if there was some kind of aftermath of something going wrong with Barr as president, theres always gonna be something going wrong no matter whos in office, thats just a fact of life.
technically ron paul is still in the race, just on a low profile note, he still appears on CNN and whatever political hearing going on to come up with logical reasonings.
Bob Barr's IQ is far higher than McCain or Obama's. Obama and McCain would have talked their way out of all the questions that were asked and left an air of confusion. Our country will be lead to another Civil War.
I considered Chuck Baldwin a few months ago, when Ron Paul started talking about him. Then I looked at his and the constitution party's platform. Somewhat of a misleading name, the Constitution Party, in my humble opinion
IM sick of arrogant Ron Paul fans criticizing Barr for not playing monkey see monkey do and getting on his back about his voting record, many Bush supporters have woken up and are fighting the good fight with all of us.Baldwin's party is the last I'd ever vote for. They are clearly anti-free thinking women too, guess it's expected from a biased Christian based party.
Barr has yet to speak the truth on any issues regarding the economy. He refuses to tackle the federal reserve or the legislative acts responsible for the economic meltdown. In a last effort gimmick he asks Ron Paul to be his VP and then the next day puts Ron Paul down for supporting all the third party candidates. WRITE IN RON PAUL
Check your state laws. Ron Paul has not registered in any state as a write in candidate and that means the vote will not even get counted except in the one or two states that do not require advance registration.
It's obvious from what Bob Barr is saying that he is not in the pocket of the Federal Reserve. Not in the pockets of big business like Obama and McCain, Obama is just as much a part of this whole mess as McCain is. The fact of the matter is that no Republicrat is gonna change anything, a vote for the third party candidates is the strongest message one can send to Washington DC and tell ENOUGH!!!!
I agree with you vic3003 a wake up call is needed in Washington and Bob Barr is the answer.
I do not see him as a yes man, just do some research and see what he has voted on in Congress and read his position on all the major issues {a mirror to my way of thinking} and I have voted Republican since 1965.
His responses were interesting. He made a good point about how the bailout package is being thrust on Congress in a way reminiscent of the Patriot Act. Hopefully Barr has learned from his mistake on that one.
But he also clearly shows that his understanding of and adherence to Austrian economics is nil. This would have been a perfect time to point the finger at the Federal Reserve and explain that cheap credit is at the heart of the crisis.
The Constitution Party wants to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations. I would rather Libertarian Party, which wants to build a world where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.
I'm a libertarian but I hate bob barr, not because of his economic stances but because of his voting record against individual freedom.

With all due respect, if Dr. Paul knew what was best for our country he would have unequivocally endorsed Mr. Barr. Not scattering his supporters to the four winds.
vandaliegh 3 years ago 4
Barr is a good person with a powerful message but Dr. Paul is n will vote for Baldwin, and there has to be a reason for that. Because he is the best there is out there.
This wont stop me from making videos for both of them. N i Encourage ALL of you to start making ur videos.

stop using Ron Pauls name to pull views
Barrbarian turned his back no the revolution and the american people by trying to isolate himself away from the other third parties when Ron Paul made efforts to awaken people to the republicrat dominance.
barr can suck an egg and all its contents.
oishiiloops 3 years ago
Why comment on here loser? why care so much? you don't like it when fellow ron paulites wanna vote for bob barr?? Just cause you got hurt from what happened at the conference. You definitely don't speak for the whole bunch. You go suck on an egg and worship your theocratic candidate.
GiveItOrLoseIt 3 years ago 2
haha, that was a GREAT response to that jerkoff. i've tried talking sense to him/her about barr before...it doesnt work. i am another ron paul supporter who will proudly be voting for bob barr!
barr is on 44 state ballots, baldwin is only on 35. BOB BARR 2008!
Kras3169 3 years ago 5
Garboth 3 years ago
you make generalizations based on a fantastical position of support for barr
ron paul supporters do not like barr for he is two faced and has turned his back on the movement that is in effort to get america back on track.
news flash - im not a congressman
but if i was i would not endorse barrbarian ;]
i like how you pose tho - as if you have some leverage that would acomplish your goal in attempts to convince citizens that Barr is actuall there for the people ;]
later garth
oishiiloops 3 years ago
He turned his back on the movement by failing to appear at a press conference of which there is incontrovertible evidence he supports and was involved in? That's complete crap. I defend Barr not because I think he's better than Ron Paul, but because I think the criticism that most Ron Paulers have for him is weak.
Garboth 3 years ago
He did'nt turn his back. He gave up his 10:30 larger Press club room that he had reserved for over a month, so they could all do the Paul thing in the big room, and he could do his 10:30 in a smaller room at 12 noon. Ron's handlers did'nt put him on the security clearance list even though Press club security notified Paul's organizers that Barr could not enter the Club before 11:30am if they did not give clearance for 10:30. Why did'nt Paul's people give Barr clearance? Call Press Club security.

Bob Barr is a neocon plant who was in the CIA. Vote for the man Ron Paul endorses, Chuck Baldwin!
wonderwendy1968 3 years ago
You are the people who cost ron paul the nomination crazy ass nutjob!!
GiveItOrLoseIt 3 years ago
What would there be to gain from putting a plant in a third party that isn't going to win? You're being a hypocrite, you didn't always think like Ron Paul, did you? Well, neither did Barr. Barr left congress and even made appearances stating that he regretted his actions in congress, so I think it's fairly logical to assume that Barr means what he says. By the way, Ron Paul has no gripes with Barr other than his record, which doesn't really apply anymore seeing how he's now a Libertarian.
Garboth 3 years ago 3
I'm voting for Bob Barr whether the system likes it or not. I don't give a fuck if everyones all "your vote isn't gonna count for an independent party." It's my vote and I can vote for WHOEVER I want. Even if there was some kind of aftermath of something going wrong with Barr as president, theres always gonna be something going wrong no matter whos in office, thats just a fact of life.

You're a juggalo and you have political intelligence. Good to see there are other juggalos like myself. WOOT-WOOT!
with ron paul out of the race, i'll be voting for bob barr as well! peace out.
Kras3169 3 years ago 2
technically ron paul is still in the race, just on a low profile note, he still appears on CNN and whatever political hearing going on to come up with logical reasonings.

Yeah he has no idea what's going on. He should apologize to Ron Paul for standing him up at the press conference.

Bob Barr's IQ is far higher than McCain or Obama's. Obama and McCain would have talked their way out of all the questions that were asked and left an air of confusion. Our country will be lead to another Civil War.
AmpersXxL 3 years ago
I considered Chuck Baldwin a few months ago, when Ron Paul started talking about him. Then I looked at his and the constitution party's platform. Somewhat of a misleading name, the Constitution Party, in my humble opinion
jcliffb1 3 years ago 2
IM sick of arrogant Ron Paul fans criticizing Barr for not playing monkey see monkey do and getting on his back about his voting record, many Bush supporters have woken up and are fighting the good fight with all of us.Baldwin's party is the last I'd ever vote for. They are clearly anti-free thinking women too, guess it's expected from a biased Christian based party.
vocalbrush 3 years ago 4
I don't like either of 'em. Write in Paul.
cookimonstizzle 3 years ago
Barr has yet to speak the truth on any issues regarding the economy. He refuses to tackle the federal reserve or the legislative acts responsible for the economic meltdown. In a last effort gimmick he asks Ron Paul to be his VP and then the next day puts Ron Paul down for supporting all the third party candidates. WRITE IN RON PAUL
nscipione 3 years ago
No, vote 3rd party. Writing in Paul achieves absolutely nothing.
RPFS2008 3 years ago 3
Check your state laws. Ron Paul has not registered in any state as a write in candidate and that means the vote will not even get counted except in the one or two states that do not require advance registration.

im voting Paris Hilton.
shes the only one to really school Oblahma the Sheep Whisperer and Mc Bomb Iran McCain besides Ron Paul

They are right,...vote 3rd party as Ron Paul endorsed....writing in Ron Paul is doing absolutely nothing
Rosetteismyname 3 years ago
I certainly respect everyone's wishes to vote for a third party, but I'm going to vote for the person I want to be president. It's as simple as that.
nscipione 3 years ago
It's obvious from what Bob Barr is saying that he is not in the pocket of the Federal Reserve. Not in the pockets of big business like Obama and McCain, Obama is just as much a part of this whole mess as McCain is. The fact of the matter is that no Republicrat is gonna change anything, a vote for the third party candidates is the strongest message one can send to Washington DC and tell ENOUGH!!!!

Bob Barr 2012
_____ 2008
To find out who... click on "PublicFoodie"
I love Ron Paul but am voting for someone else this election... guess who...
PublicFoodie 3 years ago

At least he tried to exonerate the free market.
RMMHS4RP 3 years ago 2
This bailout is a bad Idea.

The Constitution Party wants to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations. I would rather Libertarian Party, which wants to build a world where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.
T0m1977 3 years ago 8
Bob Barr is far from a Libertarian, he voted for the war and for the patriot act, he's a neo-con posing as a Libertarian.
