im sorry lady but you are completely missing the idea of しゃぶしゃぶ, which is meant to be a cheap, but satisfying meal that also offers the experience of being able to cook at the table while you eat. What you have done is turn it into a fancy way to cook a slice of meat while you prepare all this nonsense on the side.
The very fact that you used a fork to "swish" the meat around, shows how oblivious you are to the cultural element of the dish, which should not be ignored when preparing such dishes

I've never seen shabu-shabu broth with so many chunky ingredients. Often I just see water with a big piece of kombu, and the broth becomes more complex as it takes on the flavors of the foods you cook. I might have to get a little experimental with my broth!
