  • Go ahead burn it up right off the bat. I can't believe you want to get your new gun that hot.. Well hey it's only money.. No it's not gonna be a keeper go ahead and order a new barrel your gonna need it VERY SOON.

  • wish they worked out all of the problems and made one in 17 hmr, would of been a REALLY cool gun, ive fired atleast 1500 shots through my carbine and it still hits nickels at 40 yards, amazing gun

  • 4:17 Is that a guest house or a shed?

  • hey i live in tennessee and love guns lets get together and shoot someday

  • I have the synthetic stock and have shot the subsonic rounds and shotshells out of my rifle. Works well!

  • I absolutely love my Ruger 10/22.Rifle is so accurate, and fun to shoot.AWESOME GUN!!!!

  • what is your next gun purchase? anything u got in mind?

  • Can it be bump-fired? I've seen a ton of videos of people bump-firing, but i can't with my cousins 10/22

  • I'm thinking of getting a ruger with a stock and some extras, this or a lever action Henry? Lol tell me your personal experiences with it. And a really good video!

  • Have two of the 10/22 but not the all weather one, but going to get one soon.

  • Ever thought using a holographic sight for this 22.

  • Looks like a nice all weather gun,

  • hello,

i have the same rifle love it what do you recomend for scope for this rifle??Thanks

  • does it kick?

  • Pause at 0:03

  • Have you used sub sonics with the gun? If so what ammo did you use and did they cycle the action properly? Im interested in getting a 10/22 but am concerned it wont cycle alot of different types of ammo, so any info would be appreciated.

  • @MrJmak223 I shot subsonic with my Ruger 10/22 deluxe sporter If you're going to get a .22 LR, get the Ruger. It's a little extra, but worth it. I was a little surprised it cycled the subsonic as some won't. You won't be able to fire shorts with it.

  • @MrJmak223 P.S. The manual says not to shoot the higher velocity stuff like Stingers out of it, so I haven't.

  • @ericpmahoney i heard that was only for a match grade barrel that are chambered to tighter tolerances but the factory barrel was fine to shoot stingers but i dont know either

  • @JUSTANOTHERDAY333333 I don't know.... the manual states not to shoot them. If I need more velocity, I think I'd just shoot the .17HMR

  • The receiver IS just painted aluminum, correct? It's just the barrel that's stainless steel?

  • I bought the ruger 10/22 Carbine after watching this video!

  • Same one followed me... But mine has a black trigger group, and a black barrel band. Same stainless receiver and barrel.

  • For everyones info-- I just received my 10 22 rifle which is also synthetic, and the tactical quad rail fits just perfect! Bought quad rail cheap from amazon.

  • why not mention the hollow points? lol

  • Which size bipod would fit on this rifle?

  • @marcusmurray2 8 inch

  • Nice job editing the video brother!

  • .22s are fun to shoot. As far as the weight difference, even though the carbine stock probably lighter, but maybe they used heavier and more high quality metals to build it compared to the hardwood. Most manufacturers designate Carbine as high end of a series.

  • Great video and just in time because i also got a 22 lr rifle. Actually it is the 22 lr conversion kit by cmmg for my ar 15. Also look forward to shooting for fun for, as opposed to accuracy.

  • i got a RUGER 44 MAG CARBINE NOT I REPEAT NOT THE NEW ONE ( 99/44 ) it looks just like this just its from the late 60's and is a MILLION times better than the 10/22 and its tube fed way asmoer just sayin :)

  • I had one once but it kept jamming on me. Didn't have time to workout what the problem was before the government banned all semi auto's and I had to hand it in. Oh well, at least I got $200 for it, which is what I paid for it with a 4x Weaver scope. I kept the scope!

  • Wicked!

  • @nbadhorse well I had a marlin and on the last shot, the bolt stayed open. Now I got the same Ruger 10/22 for Christmas and haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet because of the laws and stuff but to keep the bolt open, you have to push and hold a little button in front of the trigger guard ad pull the bolt back, then let go of the button, then let go of the bolt. It's confusing, but it works.

  • @Skipp3r456 No bolt lock on the last shot is the nature of the beast for the 10/22.You can get an aftermarket trigger assembly that locks the bolt open on the last shot if you like.It doesn't cross my eyes much.

My Remington Nylon 66 is always loaded with a .22 short for the last round so I don't booger up the chamber dry firing a gun older than I am.

  • @doughesson Well see i shoot for competition and can only load 5 in a clip at a time. Which is fine if i count how many times i've shot

  • Comment removed

  • your gun videos are like the porn of shooting videos, you always show different angles, different positions, pulling the trigger at different speeds ect, its hilarious.

  • My .22 rifle is a Marlin so I don't know a whole bunch about the Ruger, but it looked like the bolt did not stay open after the last shot. Is that the case?

  • nice gun the old Erma EGM1 Mod.70 is my favorit

best greets from germany / great videos

  • Alextm33 I got the same one that you got christmas

  • i got one for christmas.cant wait to tryit out

  • @alextm33 me to mine is the stainless model :)

  • I want one, and a few other Ruger firearms.

  • just got one today for christmas

  • god im asking everyone for a 22 this chirstmas i hope i get one

  • can you please tell me how you got your bolt to lock back sorry i dont know what it is called

  • @TurtleBoy13579 you pull it back and push up on the little rocking lever right in front of the trigger guard

  • Nice rifle, I got one of these for Christmas maybe 9 years ago and I think it cost around $150.00. Since then the price has continued to go up on these, and yet they are still one of the best values out there.

  • this guy in an zombie apocalypse O.O

  • the deluxe is so much better than the synthetic pos

  • @tekkenjam

I think the synthetic stock along with the stainless steel barrel etc looks really good.

  • Ahh, the .22LR. The only round us middle class citizens can have fun with all day long.

  • I have the same model and its a lot of fun. My first rim fire with a scope I have used.

  • Hey I am a 13 year old kid and I have shot many guns before including a .38 special and I was wondering... I am wanting a .22 for

Christmas and i am looking for a nice and cheap .22 ive been looking up and researching the Ruger 10/22 and noticed it is a pretty good gun. I am looking for a good .2 pistol though and found a Ruger 22/45 for about 270$. and i was wondering what YOU think I should get. Thanks

  • This is an awesome video. Im looking at buying this rifle as my first firearm actually. The only question i have about the 10 22 is, are they ok to dry fire? Because ive heard both yes's and no's. Mostly no because it can break the firing pin since it is a rim fire rifle. Can anyone confirm or deny to me that is actually bad for the rifle to dry fire it? I mostly ask because ive noticed that it does not have a last shot bolt lock and many people dont know its empty until they dry fire.

  • its been like 19 years since I've bought a new gun ;[ this year I'm hoping to pick my self up a 10/22 for christmas :D

  • Without a doubt, everyone should own a 22 pistol and rifle, for practicing. It's just so much cheaper to get out and put a lot of shots at targets.

Guys at the range show up with 1 box of 50, to shoot. I show up with 3 boxes of 550. Who do you think is having more fun.

Don't get me wrong: My CCW is a Ruger P345, and I have a Ruger SP101 357/38, just because I like shooting revolvers. But my MKIII gets a lot of time at the range. Same goes for my rifles. I break out the 22 for all day fun.

  • LUCKY AMERICANS GETTING YOUR MACHINE GUNS AND PISTOLS AND SEMI'S

  • is that ten round magazine up in the rifle itself?

  • Comment removed

  • I shot winchester in an old marlin 60, not 1 jam or miss fire. I have also shot lots of 9mm winchester and never a jam or miss fire. I think it sometimes has to do with the gun itself and its cleanliness.

  • Does the bolt lock open on the last shot? if it doesn't is it bad to dry fire it instead of counting each round?

  • Does the rail come with the gun

  • i dont see muzzle flash

  • I have the same gun, with a pistol grip, and a M4 style adjustible stock, it is really cool. I have a 24 round mag, and hope to get a 50 round drum.

  • @c0mm3nu1 dont waste the 50 bucks man, it jams multiple times every single time i use it

  • WOW, you plink with .223?! great video btw.

  • I've got this in a hunters camo color. I love it

  • What's with all of this "walk of shame" talk? When I buy a gun at a place that walks you out with it I hold my head high and smile at everyone.

  • hello great vids...is your ruger 10/22 reliable?.would you reccomend this gun to a future buyer?...thanx much

  • Is the trigger factory?

  • @MegaJacklinks

Yes. I don't have any intentions of changing that.

  • @tnoutdoors9 What rounds are you using in the ruger?

  • @tnoutdoors9 Hey Thomas, is the trigger guard on your 10-22 metal?

  • @tnoutdoors9

Easy to change, and well worth it. Buy the trigger kit from Clark Custom Guns and install it yourself. You can not use Hyper (not high) velocity ammo afterward as it will damage the fine tuning they've done.

  • Lol fail

  • cool thanks for the the close up! will be my next purchase

  • good vid. i actually own an AR, AK, shotgun, and many hand guns of various calibers but actually never owned a 22. I'm planning on picking up a 10/22 SS exactly like yours but came across the rem 597, marlin SS, and Savage. The savage has a slightly longer bull barrel for slightly cheaper which seems like more bang for the buck. With so many choices what made you go with the ruger? How well has she held up and what 30rd mags have you had the most success with? What scope do you rec? Thx alot!

  • i shot a can with my ruger 10/22 and it looked like a 50 cal shot it

  • Tnoutdoors, your videos and Hickok45's are the absolute BEST gun videos on the internet! Keep up the great reviews and demos. Always entertaining! You caused my to buy ANOTHER 10/22!!!! my wife hates you!! Hahahaha!

  • Do they sell this one in walmart still or was it discontinued

  • @tnoutdoors9 I bought the exact same one at The Bass Pro Shop. I didn't walk in expecting to buy a gun, But it wanted to follow me home. I only paid $220 for mine. I bought mine two weeks before this video was uploaded.

  • Hey guys, check out Blazer made by CCI, Best ammo i have used for my 10/22. Just bought another 500 today :)

  • That rifle cost US$ 1,500 here in the Philippines :(

  • At first when you did the split screen, I was confused as hell... Maybe you can put a divider next time so we can see it's 2 cameras? :p

  • I have had my Ruger 10/22 LR carbine for about 12 years and it was my first gun ever I love it even though I have only shoot 100 rounds out of it, it is still my favorite gun.

  • I LOVE YOUR BACKYARD...lucky fucker

  • could not bealive i could actually see the bullet flying too slow?? or what?

  • Picked one up today because it is US made

  • @MrMasterChiefguy1 I do like those 10/22's but those bolt action CZ 452 Varmints are just accurate as hell!

Not really suprising they do have a 1" diameter barrell

  • Nice video

  • lol its been like 21 years for me LOL

  • i got the compact 10/22 ruger for my bithday and i got a bannana clip. it is very cool

  • Walmart 10/22's don't have the band around the fore grip barrel.

  • I bought a hardwood blued 10/22 today and I'm pumped. Thanks for the video. The picture quality is fantastic.

  • Cute lil .22. I own the same exact one. Great lil gun.

  • I just bought this today. Shoots like a dream.

  • Thats a relly beautiful 22.

  • I bought mine at Walmart and took the walk of shame...I have since bought 2 banana clips(30) and a scope...Fun to shoot and am teaching my 4 yr old good gun etiquette

  • ok i just got this gun and how do you lock the bolt back?

  • @skullghost64

    read the manual...just sayin'

  • I was thinking of getting either this and putting an archangel stock on it, or the the Smith and Wesson M&P15-22. Can anyone help me out?

  • Can this penetrate skull from 200m ?

  • im 12 and started collecting guns at 11. all FIREARMS and i just bought a ruger 10/22. same model this video has.I squirrel hunt with this .22

  • coulda just bought a .22 conversion kit for ur ar

  • i have never brot home a gun and i want to i am 13.

  • @DaylanNelson dunno about your state, but most places I've heard of require 18 to buy a firearm, or even paintball/airsoft/bb/pellet firearms.. better luck next time.

  • @KSIFLYBOY well i miss lead you there i ment my mom did it for me as a faver

  • Can't wait to get a 22 deciding on a marlin 795 or ruger 1022 but with a wood stock

  • What's the model number on the barrel?

  • Isn't that the all weather model?

  • u always miss the last target haha

  • Ruger 10/22 FTW!! Plus nice shooting setup!

  • @RedRaiderProduction1 Shut up you literal faggot

  • bought 2 about 12 years ago, blued with synthetic for about $100 each. Now they are upper $200 range & seen some retail gun shops rape people for well over $300. Put one away, now my son is getting trained on it (almost 8) the other one I immedately sent off to get tricked out as a tack-driver...glad I did b/c I could not afford them now. Just ordered a Bushnell 4x32 scope for $35, compared barska, tasco, simmons and this one was by far the brightest. lil man will get for xmas gift.

  • grosssssssssss synthetic on a stainless? Groooooooooooossssssssssssssss shame on you.

  • Great video! Love how you can see the bullets going down range at around 3:20!

  • that thing looks like a bbgun lol

  • great video....i got mine a couple weeks ago....had a few problems with it, but RUGER has a world class warranty, I'll called them and the followiong day they had UPS pick it up....their customer service was great, hope to get it back soon.....i miss my .22lr

  • got mine from gander mountain about a week ago with a simmons scope great gun for silhouets

  • my brother has the same one but with a folding stock

  • hey TN, I like your P.I.P. shots. Makes a great vid! Except for your football shoulder pad camera vid, I haven't found one that goes into details about your video equipment. Is there one on your lists? It would be interesting.

  • OSAMA IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • federal ammo is MUCH BETTER than Winchester.. federal dose not jam or miss fire!!

  • @ils360 Winchester is still much better than remington....that ammo is a joke!

  • @ils360 That's what I use with my .22 (the one this guy has) and my AR-15

  • @ils360 yes ive seen a few pple even w the revolvers having trouble w winchester rounds id go wth federal

  • @ils360 i dissagree winchester is so much better in my opinion and shoots better though my rifle.

  • Comment removed

  • well if your looking for a good scope i recommend the utg\leepers red\greendot its about $30.00 on amozon and it works great for 22s and i even put on deer gun

  • well i can only manage to get one gun a year because of the rescission

  • And you'll be on the next season of top shot.

  • @FJW1495 you can shoot any gun w/o hearing protection... it will just hurt.

  • Very good video it kept my attention. I am myself a proud owner of a Ruger 10/22, is there any particular reason you got the stainless model.

Will you be making any modifications to the bolt stop?

  • Good review, just wondering is that diamond rear sight the stock one , if so can you just change it because It looked like the two screws through it took the diamond part off to change it

  • very nice...how much did u pay for it? i live in CA and turners has for $219...is that a good price?

  • @Titan9mm

I got mine the other day from Academy for $189 (in Texas...there might be some kind of gun tax or something like that in Cali that makes the retail price higher). I don't know if that store is in CA, but if $219 is the cheapest you can find...its worth it.

  • Very detailed and well edited video.

  • Ruger is making money by selling these rifles with cheap plastic stocks and a lesser matt finish. I bought one of the early stainless 10/22s. It has a nice semi polish finish and wood stock.

  • I dig the vid man you are a good producer

  • Nice video, wish I had a place to shoot out back.

I just got one about 2 weeks ago from Gander Mountain $249 with scope, My reciever and barrel ring are black and SS barrel with composite stock.

    I love it tho

  • Comment removed

  • I got mine from Academy Sports & Outdoors for $189.99

  • @TheNue504 man that's a great deal. We really get boned up here in Canada. The Ruger 10/22 stainless price ranges from $280-$380. Luckily I got my mine at the lower end of that crazy spectrum.

  • wicked video 3:40 is awesome work.

  • @ 3:38 i was confused for a sec lol

  • thank's for the follow up

  • at 3:38 i thought i was high ps i love your hair

  • at 3:38 i thought i was high

  • I have this gun. Definately my favorite one to shoot.

  • "Ruger 10-22",I salute to you for the purchase of my first real firearm exactly 20 years ago in Dec. of 1990 during Christmas week.I was a legal young adult 18 year old(senior in HS at the time) and got my 10-22 for only $99.99 at a Turner's outdoor store. No waiting period at the time(if anyone is gonna reply,"do you still have it?"The answer is "no",sold it at a gunstore during Springbreak of '91).

  • @TheXtro101

Just got my first gun 2 days ago and it was in fact a Ruger 10/22 and no sir we do not have a waiting period.

  • Here it is!

  • I have a 10/22 Ruger Carbine. Its probably the most amazing .22 long rifle anyone could ever own, its very reliable.

  • I bought one of the Butler Creek 30 round mags and it will not seat properly. I never got it to feed well. I am going to blast that thing the next time I go to the range. :)

  • is this the walmart special 10/22

  • @UltraLightAngler

Not certain, bought this at Dick's Sporting Goods. The same/similar model from Walmart is a little less expensive, but I hate making the "walk of shame" in that store.

  • @tnoutdoors9 exactly what do you mean by "walk of shame"?

  • @hailfire82997

Apologies for the late response. "Walk of Shame".....the sales clerk walks you out of the store and to the parking lot while they hold the boxed gun. It's the law at the big box stores like WalMart, etc. People typically look at me like I'm a criminal for buying a gun. Criminals won't pass the background check; but the general public is ignorant of that fact.

Next time I buy a gun at that type of store, I'll wear a pinstripe suit and attempt to imitate Tony Soprano.

  • @tnoutdoors9 Yeah I had the same experience when I bought my remington 870 from Dicks sporting dbags a couple years ago

  • @tnoutdoors9 lol!!

  • @tnoutdoors9 hahaha. hilarious, my good man.

  • @tnoutdoors9, Yeah I baught a savage, bolt action from wally world, and the man walked me out all the way to my car, I thaught it was a bit much. What are wrong with walmart guns?

  • @tnoutdoors9

I picked mine up at Dick's this past weekend.

I got the wood stock though. I figure if I want a different one, I can get it later.

  • @tnoutdoors9 now i have to say, good video. now somethin I would like to tell you is I buy remington in those 525 brick ammo boxes for 20$ each, and it is good ammo for the 10 round mag. i have never had a stovepipe with that ammo and there is an average of 3 duds a box. now for the extended mags, i discovered that remington thunderbolt is best for those, because the regular stuff jams. cheap, and good quality ammo. i still dont understand why people think the ammo is bad...

  • @UltraLightAngler

2nd response....it is NOT the same as the WalMart special. I looked at one earlier this week. Different grade of stainless, and even the stock looked like another form of composite. These DO NOT appear to be the same gun.

  • @tnoutdoors9 What one have the better stainless?

  • @UltraLightAngler no its the ruger all weather model. i have one also

  • @UltraLightAngler it is, i have the same rifle.

  • Did you ever look at the tech sights?
