@WickedLesterKiss666 Stockton Beach, Newcastle, Australia. The ship is called the Sygna, it was shipwrecked in 1974 in a huge storm. There's not much of it left now.
Would have given y eye teeth to see the original lineup in the 80's! The band currently touring as Spy v Spy as of October 2011 has none of the the original members in it. They do a decent job singing the songs, but they don't sing with the conviction that they are singing about something *important*, something they give a shit about it. They even made fun of Sally Ann Huckstepp. No wonder the original members want nothing to do with it. So not cool.
Saw these guys at Penrith Panthers one night... stood too close to the front of house speakers and couldn't hear for 2 days afterwards! What a great show that was!!!
Easily Aussies biggest hidden talent. Been a fav of mine since round 80.
Spys were a stunning band, Craig Bloxom the tall dude on guitar with flat top, Mike Weiley on guitar, and Cliff Grigg on drums. The energy and sound that they put out was intense. Never missed a gig that I knew about.
Do yaself a favour and dig up their tunes.. Craig has uploaded all their songs to for legal D/load :) Google for vspy-vspy (their legal name after a legal challenge)and goto the forum.
One of the best Australian bands ever. Also one of the most underrated. Love the Signa wreck in the background. Its looking a lot worse for wear nowdays.
@philandlinda Around 1988 me and my cousin swam out to it, climbed up and spent ages rummaging around inside the ship. We managed to dislodge a toilet and throw it overboard before swimming back to shore. We struggled in the waves for eternity and I thought we were going to die or be eaten by sharks. Christ we were idiots, lol.
Where was the film clip shot.

Saw V Spy V Spy support Midnight Oil in 1985. They were great! Their clothes in this video inspired my family to get into amateur tie-dying!
