Just for all you Chick Corea Fans.. So many hip hop groups use his music to sample from... Good Times.. Look into Living Legends. shout out to Aonesolo (Aldo) check this out.. dude is hella old now.
you and I had a discussion sometime ago about Vinko Globokar's orchestral piece, if I am not mistaken.
GLADLY, John Adams does not exist outside the US. His music is superficial and weak. Now, Chick Corea is a jazz living legend. Since Now He Sings Now He Sobs from 1966, this man has taken jazz piano to new levels. He is a marvelous musician. That said, his string quartet is quite old fashioned, unaware of the incredible contributions of Ligeti, Lachemann and many other to this genre.
@Justino111 Ligetti is horrid, and Lachemann uninspired. The complete detachment from aesthetic, impressionistic, or theory based music is something novel, but nothing worth paying money or attention toward.
@armygreen314 Ligeti does not need your approval, sorry. He will be always remembered as one of the most important composers of ALL TIME, either you like that idea or not. If you think his piano concerto, his violin concerto, his piano etudes are "HORRID", that's because YOU don't get it. Those are phenomenal pieces. And this is not my opinion, this is a fact. I won't discuss LacheNMANN because if you don't get Ligeti, obviously you won't get Lachenmann. Your comment is nonsense.
Todd... You so totally rock... er... I mean... well, whatever "rock" should be replaced by when referring to playing this avant garde/fusion/freestyle... I'm not totally sure Corea masterpiece. I LOVED IT!

John Adams is very famous outside of the US, i'm here in the UK and he is very well known. Have you heard of the Proms?
Both John Adams and Chick Corea are greats in very different musical genres, and comparison is not really possible.
