This is the shittiest phone in the world. Shiney, but unreadable keys, really annoying roller ball thing. and keeps talking to you when you press a key on the outside in your pocket. Well packaged piece of junk. I binned this as you can't change the ring settings to anything half sensible that works. A complete waste of money. Far inferior to nokias. Plus reading the texts, keeps going into old texts, no way to delete old texts in one go. Annoying dialogue of sent and received texts together.

This blackberry is supposed to have WAP/GPRS though, cause orange gave me unlimited browsing for 10GBP a month, but I cannot get the WAP to work even though its enabled on this phone.

Bottom line if you dont have a router, and want to go online with this phone, avoid it.

Of course -  because you have already paid for your home internet service. the phone simply connects to it as with any other wifi enabled device for example, a laptop. but why would you? tiny screen and keyboard, when in the next room you have your pc...

useful at airports, hotels or cafes etc where you're expecting an important email but don't have your laptop at hand.

? how is it a piece of crap? name one phone besides the iphone that can watch YT. This phone is increadibly cheap on ebay (brand new) costs around 250 dollars, while the Iphone 3G costs around 800 unlocked without contract, and the original 8GB outdated and no longer developed phone costs around 400 for a used one. Thats the difference. Not even the N95 nokia can watch YT videos.

im not sure about the 8120, but i've got the 8130, and the pearl only lights up in "low-light" conditions. theres a light sensor on the phone to save battery durign the day, it dims the backlight, etc.

yes there is i own the 8130 i have the box right in front of me that says BB 8130. the main difference between the 8120 and 8130 is the 8120 is GSM, the 8130 is CDMA
