Simon, Digi has a USB interface which will create a Virtual serial COM port on your machine. It is important to note however, that the XBee is unable to bridge USB to USB. Think of the XBee as a serial cable replacement which is connected to a Serial to USB adapter, rather than a USB cable replacement.
I'm interested in seeing a test for the 20 mile range XBee modems. I need to do a project based upon Zigbee and I've got nLOS issues that need to be worked around. Would really appreciate if you guys could do that. There is availability of mains 240VAC as a power source so I can use high-power systems also.
how much is this?

hi there,
I wanna pair 2 xbee's for a robot,
And iI used a series 1 and the another pro module then will my range increase?
as series 1 has 100 m range and pro's have 1200 m range.
Will their combination fetch me a range more than 100 m?
I alrady have xbee series 1

Is it possible to use my Xbee to control my 550d software, so it thinks it plugged into usb?
Thanks for the review,
Simon
