Arthur Jones, as well as Dr. Darrden, stipulated that one should relax facial muscles to not deplete the exertion of the muscle part that is being exercised. It would be beneficial for Mark to start practices in relaxing his facial expressions during exercises.
thats what you call REAL high intensity training.... the volume trainers out there who say you can't do a workout in under 5 minutes should watch this...keep it up
@75freeman they dont say you cant do a workout in under 5 minutes. they say you cant get good results in 5 minutes. hiit is all about increasing reps or weight and there is always a point when this training will top out and based on where people train there is going to be limited equipment to change over to when your maxed out on something.
@75freeman if you were in a super gym where there was 5-10 compound movements with super heavy weights available in the gym for each bodypart i could see this working because when you topped out you could move onto something else but for your average gym your not looking at much over 100lb dbs and especially things like pin selector machines that are light in weight. you would have to be somewhere they have a huge selection of heavy dbs and a lot of plate loaded equipment which is hard to find
I agree, I thought that he could've use less weight and increased the time of each positive and negative. 5 exercises, total workout should've been around 7 minutes, or 60-90 seconds TUL per set. Good work none the less. I've only been doing HIT for a short time, but wish I'd discovered it earlier.
alot of upper body exercises. a better workout would simply be sqaut bench and deadlift.this workout would acomplish everything you did with fewer exercises and the carryover from these exercises would be better for athletics.

@MrRanger1987 I would love to be able to 'top out'. I'll keep doing HIT til I max out everything in the gym, then move-on.

Good stuff. Job done, no messing. The more I look into it, the clearer it becomes: maximum intensity + infrequency = growth.

TUL's weren't nearly long enough, but he's definitely on the right track!

Squat, bench and deadlift is certainly a great workout but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better than what's working really well for Purehit here.
