i like aeropostale mostly for tank tops and jewelry and stuff...but most of their stuff has a huge AEROPOSTALE across the front and i'm not really a big fan of that. american eagle might be a little pricier but they have great designs and are very quality and the clearance racks are always stocked up too if you're looking for a deal. their stuff goes on sale pretty quickly. i just got a really nice sweater that used to be $50 like only a month ago at the most and it was down to $25.
