I kinda wish Chrono remained the villain.

Otherwise, to be honest, I prefer the final product. I'm not too much a mahou shoujo fan and seeing futuristic magic and Nanoha becoming the loli version of RX-78 Gundam in the final product is what got me into the series. If it remained like this I probably wouldn't care for it.

I agree with the previous comments, I prefer the actual series better than this. I'm glad they made the changes. Arf isn't Yuuno, Lindy isn't some enchanted fairy, Chrono isn't a bad guy (that could work, though, lol), Fate isn't absent in the series, and last but definately not least, they changed that lame CCS wand thing!

But, it is a prototype, afterall. They had to have an idea of the project.

Triangle Heart was a series of three visual novels and Anime OVAs. They made a spinoff game, the Lyrical Toy Box, for the third Triangle Heart game. It contains a story where Nanoha becomes a magical girl. This video is the theme song set to footage from that story, as far as I'm aware (I haven't played the game personally).

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is essentially an alternative universe spinoff from Triangle Heart, like Pretty Sammy is to Tenchi Muyo, or Komugi-chan is to Soultaker.

Wow... this is so much more generic than the real Nanoha series. I'm glad they made the changes they did, because leaving it like this would probably have resulted in a disappointing series. Like... Lindy's a fairy? Chrono's a bad guy? Fate is totally absent? And Nanoha's animal friend looks more like Arf than Yuuno. Her magical staff in this one doesn't look nearly as cool as Raising Heart either. I'm glad they made some changes before making it into an actual series.

Wow, it's amazing how much more "girly" this original concept was. Let's look at just her wand, for example. In this, it hasa cutesy little heart and wings and doesn't seem threatening at all. In Nanoha A's, it gets a recoil-kick from loading bullets like a machine gun and shoots out huge lasers with the force of a nuclear blast. I'm truely glad it went in the much more unique and awesome direction.

No, it was an original concept video for what we now know and love as Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (A's/StrikerS). It came with the Triangle Heart ~Lyrical Toy Box~ DVD set (I believe, memory's pretty hazy on this). And thank god it was only a concept video (Chrono as the bad guy, Fate as Yuno, and *sob* Lindy as a tiny fairy?!)
