Really? since writing my comment six months ago I've had people try to mug me twice, once was a group of about seven teenagers, and last month two teenagers about 18 tried to mug me.
When I talk about these things, I am using my personal experience, when my friends are mugged, it was always by a group of five to ten teenagers, when I read and hear about old people being robbed, most of the time it's either by young gangs or drug addicts.

When I talk about these things, I am using my personal experience, when my friends are mugged, it was always by a group of five to ten teenagers, when I read and hear about old people being robbed, most of the time it's either by young gangs or drug addicts.

I'm actually quite lucky, everyone else my age has been mugged violently, luckily they never managed to get anything off me but it's a daunting thought, knowing that you will definitely keep getting mugged because it's the way these people (like in the video) get any money.
At my old school, gangs would just wait outside the school and threaten to stab whoever didn't hand over their phones and money, the Police couldn't care less about crimes commited against teenagers.
