to me this is the plot: he is still alive after having a car accident but his friends are dead as they are showed on those photos. the man facing him is both his conscience and the time that is finishing which is related to the door knocking. the darkness shows he cant remember what exactly happen and the unpredictable thing is if he will live or die... so, c'mon man help yourself!!!

I actually really liked that. The ending was a tad abrupt and the illusion of fright and despair was broken when he slammed his fists on the table. I'm not sure if it was just me, but the earthquake cam effect and the sound put with it made it seem really silly.

Other than that, it was a very intriguing short film and I really loved it. 5 Stars.

really nice shortfilm. it was so great, and i loved the effects. i done a little thinking about the plot, so let me share my conspericy with you.

I think that he is dead, i don't know for sure but that is may way to think about it. i do not say i'm chatolic or something but i think it is god standing there trying to help him, while death/the devil standing outside and keep knocking on the door. again i do not based this on some religion, just trying to find a plot in the movie. but nice movie:)

one more thing before i finish, the use of sound effects and music also was good it added to the urgency of the situation.

the distortion of words meant the audience had to concentrate harder as the soul tried more and more to get the man to awaken with the progressive distortion of the souls voice with every insistent knock on the door.

the small details in a film are what make a film great. Blade runners a good example of that.

the shirts were good because they reinforced the roles of the two characters white to represent vulnerability unawareness or in this case unconciousness.

black to represent seriousness, or determination a incarnation of the survival instinct.

lighting was absolutely brilliant in relation to where the actors were positioned in the dream sequence.

this gave the audience a distinct reason to carry on concentrating on what is around you

not everything is on view for example the souls head is never fully in view. Certain times vision is blurred to make the audience think they are seeing through blurred eyes. making you all the more involved and all the time feeling like you as a person are actually going through this ordeal.

coloured sybolism is on display in the dream sequence. there is a red old style fire exit light next to the door for example leaving no doubt that there is danger beyond.

the bare foot on the floor appears to represent the fragility of the physical body and the fierce sharp moving slit of light under the door seems to be a manifestation of the human in built fear of death. Unknown but definitely sinister, waiting to seize life.

the make up for creating the scars and injuries made the audience believe in the situation all the more adding to the realistic nature of the situation. This realism served to counterbalance the films dream sequence which showed distinctly where dream and reality ended. The injuries are first shown in black and white showing that this was a memory rather than a real event. then the injuries are shown in sunlight in colour showing the dream sequence has ended.

this film is good because its open to interpretation. i imagined that his own soul was a separate part of the unconcious man and it was the souls duty to save him by keeping him from making a transition to death. the lighting was i think representing the persons life force, because you look up at it when it flickers checking it. use of shadow and light was great, first person viewpoint made the audience empathise with the characters situation not knowing what the hells going on.

The Cinematography is great! But the acting was not so great. No saying is was really bad but was not great. Also needs more breakages in what you are saying. Seemed you where rushing everything you said. As if you where reading a list. Thats the best advice i can give you. Not bad......
