  • can you comment on eating a mostly raw meat diet? thanks

  • I need some help here. i read all over the internet that if you don't eat carbs you body can't make the chemical that makes you happy (Serotonin). How could this be true if the eskimos who ate no carbs some of the healthiest people on earth.

please explain the nature of carbs and ketosis.

  • @athletichunta Who told you that the eskimos were some of the healthiest people on earth?

Their average life span was 50-55.The vast majority would suffer from osteoporosis as early as in their fourties. Now if you looked at the Okinawans and how they ate then you can say they are sme of the healthiest people on earth.

  • I've been doing almost exactly what you talk about and in the last seven days I've lost 11.4 lbs already. I create a calorie deficit as well, but I have a request. Could you please make a video about how to find an accurate basal metabolic rate and what deficit is best from there? Most websites have a basic calculator - are these good enough? I don't want to stall out based on calories. Thanks so much!

  • As long as there is a high profit margin for high carb foods such as sugar, high fructose corn syrup, wheat, rice, corn, and the food "products" that are made from them, the so called "experts" will always be pressed into the service of the food industry to promote these items as "healthy".

  • Explain this to me. You mentioned in another clip, that 60 odd percent of protein eaten will be converted and burned as glucose. How does that fit into the puzzle?

  • @heavydusty 66% of the protein we eat converts to carbohydrates but this is a slow process and it is gradualy released into the bloodstream whereas all carbohydrates, even the low-glycemic index ones cause enough insulin release to slow or stop fat burning

  • Thank you for all your efforts Dr. Ellis. The Glycation Factor, Excellent book.

  • It seems to me you consume more glycation than high carb eaters since your cooking your animal foods, and cooked animal food contain Advanced glycation end-products.

  • @patryksky The body produces about 225 mg per day of methyl glyoxal. For food to match this number of milligrams one would have to consume 1129 servings of carbonated soft drink or 1800 servings per day of toast to equal amount produced by natural physiological processes. Such exaggerated quantities are clearly beyond the capacity of even the heartiest appetites. It is clear that food sources of methyl glyoxal are inconsequential in comparison with the bodies actual daily production.

  • are you overweight?

  • @patryksky In respect to what standards?

  • @Byebyecarbs How many cups of coffee do you drink a day?

  • @patryksky If you do an image search for "dr greg ellis" you can judge for yourself if he is fat or not

  • @patryksky

Google his name and look at his book, jealous???

  • Do you say, "no carbs?"

  • @JakesHomeWorkouts Never said no carbs just a restriction in them.

  • @Byebyecarbs Thanks, just trying to clarify. I definitely see your point, I mean, Diabetes is on the rise.
