Bad rat infestation in old chicken coop

Uh..Get a "contained"quick kill traps And clean your coups!! call a vet for your chickens to get tested... rats bite. Rats carry FATAL diseases, diseases spread are Salmonella, gastroenteritis, Rabies, mites, ticks, tapeworm, fleas that live on mice carry bubonic plague (the black plague that killed 1/3 of Europe's population) and mice droppings carry the Hanta Virus (there is no known cure..this means you just DIE). They also start fires chewing wiring!!

You might want to give some serious thought to tearing down that old coop and rebuilding a better chicken shed. Also get yourself a terrier of some kind, they are good vermin catching dogs as they are bred for that particular reason. These are just some suggestions, but I hope you figure something out. WoW I saw them alright. I had HEARD a mouse squeeking in my closet about some months ago. the mouse was awaited by my 6 white fluffy cats to come out of the wall.......and I will anounce that the mouse is heard no more to this day.

if u want to get rid of the rat , but not harm them, heres what u do

Catch one , make it friendly and cleaner

, then give it to the pet store( make sure the rat is healthy)

be sure to get rid of then before the mutiply cuz with over 100 rats, i promise u there will be a problem
