  • The only time it sucks to be born white is when you realize you are a mouse!

  • this video should be like idk be it bored pock up the snake or something

  • Where did you get one? Just curious

  • do u keep this as a pet do u play with it cause i mean this kinda snake is not really somethin u would wanna call a pet

  • What's amazing to me is how something can be so poisonous to the mouse, yet, not harm the cobra whatsoever.

  • is it a venomiod? call me a pansie if you like but i wouldnt be comfortable with a snake that fast and still hot. if i were to have a neurotoxic snake id probably go with a coral snake.

  • that is incredible sir.

  • tarantula venom and rattlesnake venom work much faster on mice

  • Nom nom nom

  • ratta uses quick attack, but arbok uses bites and won :(

  • Ya great video and nice cage!

and if you want to check out our baby cobra when we first caught it type in baby spitting cobra

  • little mouse was a soldier

  • you could just have pet mice

  • It's so cool how you can see the gears a-churnin' in his beady little head as he tries to figure out where that mouse might have gone. It certainly looks like more than just instinct, it looks like an actual thought process. Any idea how intelligent - in human terms, I mean - these snakes can be? :-? I know some spiders can think at the level of a 2 year old human, some octopi around 8. Dunno' the snake's stats, though.

    :-?

  • Nice cobra. Wouldn't mind seeing your retic. Any videos of it? I've got 3 retics and 4 burms. Also kept cobras and rattlers fora few years.

  • screw that.... i love snakes but damn......more power to ya

  • thought the frog was real in the backround

  • Comment removed

  • De toute façon, une fois la souris est mordue, C'EST FINI!!! :p

  • Is it hissing?

    I can't really tell....

  • the scariest thing is a cobra being kept in a fish tank and a small childs voice in the background...

  • ... yep that's my daughter playing in the living room... and there are these things you can buy at DIY stores called latches and locks...

  • @beautifuldisasternee yep that's my daughter playing in the living room... and there are these things you can buy at DIY stores called latches and locks...

  • @LXDNG i am all about keeping herps and got no problem with people owning hots...idk about having them around small children. glad you do have it locked up safely at least because a lot of people dont

  • DAMN NATURE U SCARY !!!!

  • the scariest nature I've come to experience is the behavior of human beings... far worst then snakes will ever be.... when's the last time you heard in the news of snakes committing arm-robbery, murderer and unprovoked harassment?

  • @LXDNG huh?

  • i love snakes. im getting a ball python but id never have a cobra. you could never physically handle one which takes away half the fun of owning a snake.

  • .... I like handling my retic when I have to... but I don't really feel the urge to handle this one... I'm content to marvel at it with the glass buffer between us... and I believe the feeling is mutual

  • cobras grow to 30 feet. why would u have one?

  • @theevanandjoeyshow1 lol the biggest cobra is the king cobra and his maximum size is 18,5 feet !! this this sumatra cobra gets 3 feet

  • errr. really? call the Smithsonian institute dude... if you ever find one that size... you just might win the nobel prize... this Black-Spitting cobra gets up to about 4-5ft at most... now reticulated pythons and Burmese can get up to the 20+ft ballpark and that's about as long as any snake gets... where did you say you saw a 30ft cobra again?

  • @LXDNG haha.... the King Cobra... the largest venomous snake, only grows to about 18 feet.

  • @SnakeladyGreta yea 18ft.... only lol

  • @LXDNG haha, true! :)

  • @SnakeladyGreta u really think u know about snakes

  • @TheDannys5 I don't know everything about snakes, but I have been a snake keeper for over a decade. i've been a snake lover since 1975. I've bred snakes, rescued snakes, educated folks about local snakes. I'm pretty much a snake fanatic. I'd keep venomous except I already know me well enough.... I'd probably end up letting down my guard and holding them like I hold boas. And yeah, that would be stupid. I consider myself an amateur-herpetologist-wannabe. ;) But I'm actually just a chemist.

  • NOOOO! NOT IN THE BOWL! :(

  • 0:41 RUN, you stupid bastard! RUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • this is so cool, I love how it just grabs it in one bite and slowly either suffocates it, or injects poison. Is this a poisonous snake? Thanks.

  • ..............

  • @PhildeCritic ..............

  • @PhildeCritic actualy venomous not poisonous a very distinct difference a poision is consumed or taken in thru the skin or lungs but a venom must be injected or put into the bloodstream with a special apperatus

  • why would you trap a wild snake and keep it was a pet.. thats isn't right.

  • whoa, I didn't trap him, someone else did... pls check the history, I recalled saying it was rescued from a friends's neighbor's house. He trapped the snake when it a hatchling which he kept in a coffee jar until he figured out he didn't know what to do with it. The jungle behind that residential area is being developed and the wildlife is being evicted.from its natural habitat. If we released this guy then, he would have perished from weakness. Now he's all grown up and healthy.

  • Many animals in that area are being pushed by the clearing fo the forest area and winding up in peoples houses. We rescued scores of snakes, scorpions, tarantulas and other animals over a period of time since we distributed flyers in the area to contact us to extract such animals in the event that they did. A service we provided for free. Still, most people probably killed the snakes that they found. Most of the creatures we found have found good homes with responsible pet owners.

  • gorgeous sumatrana how old is it?

  • this was taken in its first 5 months, its huge now.... after 2 odd years

  • were did u get it

  • Pls check the comment history, I think I've over stipulated its origins... no worries ;-P I'm just too lazy to repeat myself at this point.... Cheers

  • NICE

  • nice the littl mouse was trapped in the dish

  • wtf!!! this man has cobra as pet???? is he nuts???? he s got balls man ...

  • chill man, I use trap boxes, wield two 4ft snake tongs while wearing goggles and don't feel the dying need(no pun intended) to handle it with bear hands. This was quite awhile ago... this baby is now almost 4 feet long and hisses like a typhoon. Fear dissipates with understanding and appropriate methods... Cheers keep it real!!!

  • but the first question that arises in my mind and has baffled me, where did u get this snake? and how did u catch this?

  • animal rescue from neighbor of a freind who caught as a baby and stuffed in a coffee har for a week. Was brought to us in bad condition from which we nursed back to health and have been keeping it ever since

  • hahah was

  • =:::( mr.mousy was cute!

  • so's the snakey tho haha

  • The end..

  • finally a live kill caught on tape nicely dun

  • thank you, much appreciated

  • they are sooo smart

  • Any mouse in the vicinity of 'vs' or 'versus' is usually in deep doo-doo on youtube!

    Like this Volcano vs mouse

    watch?v=Y3RlcP8yUPo

  • lol tru dat. find grasshopper vs mouse

  • were did u get the cobra, from a pet store?

  • check the history on the comments i think someone asked already. House call rescue...

  • Comment removed

  • lol false water cobra?

  • one question are the baby cobras less venoumous ??

  • Nope... they are venomous from day 1 of life... Venom of any kind comprises of protein structures that target specific parts of the body upon envenomation. Cobra and most elapids (front-fanged snakes)produce neurotoxic venom which blocks the communication of nerves that controls all muscles including those of the heart and lungs; resulting in paralysis and death. One drop is enough to do damage. Venom potency varies depending on whether or not a particular snake has been fed.

  • Snakes that have not eaten recently or are starving have relatively weak venom. It is however not recommended that you put this to test.

On the other hand venom is precious to a snake as it ensures its ability to obtain food and additionally costly to produce. Most snakes would rather not waste venom when striking or biting in self-defense; resulting in what many refer to as dry-bites; again do not put this to the test on oneself. the consequences could be undesirable

  • wow thank you very much for your 2 comments :-)

  • Very interesting video.

  • Man that thing is going to be a hard bastard when its older

  • The part where the mouse is shoved into the hollow eye socket of the skull strangely reminds

    me of the 2004 election.

  • Interesting video. I think if you feed your snake dead food it stops learning to hunt and defend it's self. To avoid your pet being hurt

avoid overlarge prey. This snake could handle

that mouse, but not much bigger.

  • you dont know much its a rat pup dummy nice video though i say keep feeding live!

  • feeding it live food is actully good for the snake. whhen food is frozen, it looses a lot of important vitamins, keep on with the live food.

  • thats not true you fucking moron, when you freeze the food it kills the parasites that kill your snake. Don't leave stupid comments if you don't know what your talking about.

  • awsome cobra i have no hots yet.

you should watch my vids and comment plz

  • u shouldnt be feeding it live food

  • explain

  • as in animals that r alive.. its not recommended. i dont know why..

  • the rationale for snake keepers to condition captive snakes to accept dead/pre-killed food, is the concern that live food may potentially harm the snake in a fight for survival... Rodents in particular have teeth capable of inflicting serious wounds on snakes

  • i was going to say something like that.

  • Because the live food animals might cause serious injuries or even death to your pet... Get it now?

  • Okay I'm impatient to see that

  • I posted one of them already... got far better ones; got one with 2 snakes ripping apart a frog but I wanna figure out how to add the soundtrack... anyone know a program that will do it?

  • I will post some my water snakes soon

  • I think If you have this dangerous snake , you have a lot of experience , no ?

But his venom is not verry fast , I've seen other snakes on YT who kill their mouse in 2 second lol

    Great snake !!!!!!!!

  • This is my only hot snake... I don't tend to collect more... This was probably her first baby mouse... She's taking bigger ones now and her venom knocking down a lot faster these days

I have a retic, a sunbeam and 9 water snakes: 3 Enhydris plumbeas and 6 Enhydris enhydris... The cobra and the retic are going to a reptile park when I can no longer care for them...

  • omg lucky bastard XD where the hell did you get it from!?

  • It was wild caught, rescued from a neighbor's house... We had to force feed it for awhile but now he's hunting on his own... pretty vicious...

    Equatorial Spitting Cobra

    (Naja Sumatrana)

  • does spitting cobra has a round eyes

  • holy shit where did you buy that from
