Its awesome to see the fans discussing who is their influence as a drummer, Tommy or Shannon (lets not forget Joe D'arco, no matter how short-lived his carreer with Godsmack)... my opinion, Tommy is slower, in their first album he´s even inaccurate at times, Shannon is more experienced as a drummer, doesn´t miss a beat at all... shannon is in my top 10 drummers in activity

@deemosorence676 I spoke with them once when I had myspace about touring in greece and still they have never been yet :( metallica has come,iced earth ,scorpions,judas priest and they haven't :/ this band and metallica are the bands that made switch to hard rock - metal after I stand Alone & I dissappear

Tommy rules. Period. He's more hardcore, in my opinion. He's my influence on drumming, not Shannon.

But if it weren't for Shannon, Godsmack probably wouldn't be here today. They wouldn't be releasing Saints & Sinners in April.

@ChristophZero No, Sully wrote all the drum tracks for the first record. Sully is my influence as a singer and song writer, and so is Trent Reznor. Tony is my influence for playing guitar.

its called a talk box i think. I know dudes from Aerosmith and Bon Jovi have used em. I think Sully does some type of growl into it and it does that. He uses it on Re align on the Changes dvd now
