I thought you did a nice job. You presented your views simply enough and I generally agree with you. As far as Sudan and Darfur, which runnerxc17 has decided to single out, you're right on. The US has to stop trying to be the world's policeman. Supporting a UN peacekeeping force is fine but waltzing into any country we please, expecting everything to go our way, is simply arrogant.
You are totally wrong on the Issue of the Sudan and Darfur...you have no business in the White House sir.
2,500 American troops could stop the GENOCIDE that is occuring in the Sudan...we could take out the Janjaweed almost immediately. What happened to America's conscience?
Iraq and Darfur are two totally different issues and have no viable way of comparison at this point.
2500 US troops would do nothing to stop the Sudanese backed troops other than be a "trip wire" for increased US involvement after they are killed. There are already 7000 AU troops in place and 26,000 UN/AU troops on the way.
Well, that is why you are wrong. Our military and NATO have already concluded that 2500 US troops would be able to stop the Janjaweed. Here is an article that points out how many troops are likely to be needed and does note that about 5-10 thousand troops from the US may be needed however, Joe Biden, Leslie Gelb, Dick Lugar have all talked about the need of just a No-Fly-Zone headed up with a ground force of a few thousand troops from as little as 2,500 troops to 10,000...
Your article was clipped by YouTube, but you must know you cannot believe everything that is written. Stopping over 50 years of violence with a mere 2500 troops is simply naive.
We Gave land away in the Balkans, that wasn't theirs, and wasn't justified... Look at what is happening now... Do you really think that we did anything? We are back to ground zero... however now we have pissed off China, and Russia in the mix. That is Yugoslavian soil, and the "Ethnic Albanians" now control it. They cannot even run their own country.
No. I certainly stand with Tancredo on imigration. But if I had to pick today, I might pick Ron Paul. I think he's too isolationist, but I like his perspective on the Constitution. None of them represent me in whole. That is why I left the Republican party and launched my own campaign.
Went to your site and checked your position on the issues. It's obvious you're not a politian and I mean that in a good way. I also respect Ron and his positions on the war and the constitution. Am also an independent and ride with the PGR. My big issues for the election is Iraq, the philosophy of preemption and the use of torture during interrogation. Appreciate you responding so quick. I'll keep an eye on your website. Maybe we'll speak again. Best wishes to you and yours.
Ok, so what I don't understand is that you wouldn't let the two females get married, but you agreed that woman should sign up for the draft, which I'm for, but you said that because you believed in equal rights. If you believe in equal rights, then isn't it their 'equaly right' to get married?
Great question. The answer is that marriage is not a right. It is a legal issue. Romantic, aren't I? The Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 (signed into law) defines marriage as one man and one woman. More on this on my ISSUES page of PresidentAdams dot com
So, is it that you are against gays and lesbians, or you are just following the law, and if you are just following the law, would you allow them to have civil unions or and agreement like marriage?
You sound like a dumbass. The Executive Branch is estabished to reinfore the Federal Legislative Branch and is suppose have a voice of its own suggesting and vetos. You sound like a poor bush jr in my personal opinion.
This is Whit's mom. You're a double talker! They changed the law to draft women? Would you be willing to help change the law for gay/lesbian marraige? Some people are not just "man" or just "woman" and are equal under God's eyes.People have been born BOTH .physically and/or mentally.(which also may soon become a "scientific fact" as soon as science accepts that. You are VERY NARROW MINDED for an "independent." ....and a "people pleaser",a nd won't get our vote
What debate did he watch? I thought they answered the questions just fine. I was pleased with Barack Obama and he got my vote...not some unknown average Joe with a political opinion. Hell, we got plenty of those. We need something more in a president, and that's the charisma to inspire the masses to act. Politics is not a game for amateurs.
Where I appreciate you being a concerned activist citizen, but your response was a bit laughable. You really didn't answer with any specifics just said... oh, yeah, we should do this... Sure, yeah, but we should do that. You have no clue and no plan and no understanding. Good luck to you
Thanks for the good luck wish. Condensing 30 issues into 5 minutes does not allow for the detail you are looking for. But I do have enough intelligence and integrity to actually answer a question when it is asked. The same cannot be said for the Democratic candidates. That was my point. They had a minute or 30 seconds to make a point. They used it for spin, not to answer the question.
I have plans, the desire, and the ability to solve the problems they would not even talk about.
I know ur not gunna get the nomination but i def wish an actual candidate would run through like you did -- good shit- only disagreed on about 2 things
Steve - thanks for your gutsy video and campaign. I like your statement about education quite a bit. And I agree with your domestic statements mostly. I disagree with your international statements, but I think it's important that we cultivate this dialogue!
Great job!

What's insufficient about it? Because he gave his honest opinion and didn't put an Olympic Figure Skating spin on it? Politicians are good at talking around the question and making you think it's sufficent. They dodge questions, do you think Hilary's choice of jacket is honestly the only thing Edwards doesn't like? Give me a break.

2500 American troops along with NATO troops as well.
This has not been happening for 50 years sir, the genocide has only been happening for 3 years, and it is unconscionable that we haven't acted.
We did so in the Balkans, we can do so now with far fewer troops.

So i was wondering what you think about Immigration...
Would you want a wall to be build up along the Mexican/Canadian borders?
would you give Driver's license/social security/citizenship to illegal immigrants?
And last..
Would you declare English the official U.S. Language?

Why Tancrato? His big issue is illegal immigration. He's pro war and does not believe in evolution. Does that describe you?

I'm not against any person or group of people. The executive branch is responsible to enforce the law.
Gays and lesbians should have the same rights as heterosexuals, no more, no less.
Civil unions can be defined by lawyers today. Federal law to create 'something else like marriage' while outlawing marriage itself would be improper.
