  • This video was made in 2007. Apple is starting to get very similar :)

We have the watch, the phone, the voice control..and the tv is coming this year.

  • It's funny...these technologies are all now readily available, even the arm band at the end. I remember posting a comment like two years ago on this video about how this video was so inaccurate; I guess I was the inaccurate one.

  • hmmm... it only took about 4 years lol! ... i wonder the world will be like in another 4 years??

  • Esto lo hace mi iPad 2 con iCloud, Airplay y Siri en el iphone 4 :D

  • @OnTVads este video fue publicado por intel hace mas de 5 anos cuando el iphone todavia era un simple rumor.

  • Participate: goo.gl\k55ge and get iPhone 5 now.

  • Yes, it happened. Smartphones, Tablets and Google TV!

  • no if u make these things, they will take over the world

  • Vieron lo visionario, fue grado hace 4 años!

  • IPhone's alleady realised this vision, although the reall personal UMPC's need more processing power and flexible move abillity and Nature friendly and support Nano technology..

Nano Technology is the Future people, Not this garbage.

  • This is how the shit is now.

  • Pretty cool. Speak control is very nice. It reminds me to the microsoft kinect. 2:12 it looks like a HTC Desire HD.

  • Intel planned all this a while back but as usual have been late in the game .

  • "Steve, your boss is an asshole and has upped the meeting to 15 minutes from now instead of 4 hours from now." Never in my life would I let my boss do that.

  • i think the future will be powered by android after seeing this

  • soooooo corny.. Taking to a computer, I hope we don't don't have to live in a world where we have to talk to computers like this.

  • Someone that has education within advanced electronics could probably program and make something very similar to this now. thought would most likely take 10 + years for a single man todo unless he has unlimited resources

  • this made me lol.

  • this is scary son!

  • Future drug dealer's home?

  • @voon100 I don't think so. More like a rich bankster that's ripping you off along with their Republican helpers.

  • WHEN!!!!!! <8O

  • i love how integrated everything is.

  • i'd like to have a watch on my arm instead of a chip insde of my arm.

  • I found I don't care for the swiping affect of mobiles. I really think they should keep the scrolling along with this new feature that way you can have best of both worlds for everyone the might use it.

  • We already have most of this or atleast the main idea and it's powered by googles android phones, google tv, and all of there great services. In two years this will be the past paper tech is the new thing

  • @BoToGo1 I Agree with you, check out Samsung galaxy s.It has all of the features in this video

  • The real future is the blind man getting his vision back.

  • @pgdevil Well I think that's going to happen in some age when we will not be alive :]

  • @pgdevil we are getting there. With current technology blind people can see shapes and shadows. They are trying to get more resolution....

  • @pgdevil And getting cancer cured

  • with all that technology wil he be able to clean and fix his teeth?

  • Cool I like, if it ever comes out I will buy this tech in a second.

  • Something similar to the UMPC in this video debuted at CES 2010 this year. It arrives sometime in Q1 and is currently available for pre-order in the US and UK. I found it at NetbookNavigator (dot) com

  • Star trek had all these in the 60s. We are so behind.

  • @daedalx hahaha

  • This is not that much "futury" most of these technologies are available. Company just haven't taken advantage of them yet. They're thinking in making profits and not increasing productivity.

  • I can imagine the invention of living for ever with the rate of technology. 100 years ago we just figured out the car, forget electronics. Now we design this amazing circuitry and hardware in electronics. I just don't understand how people figured out how to make a computer in the first place.

  • Mathematics I think :D

  • SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • All i want is my pipboy 3000... ;)

  • great.

but it will lead to people getting lonelier and lonelier

  • How so? Just out of curiosity..

  • well, look what the computer did to us. I mean, a fantastic piece of technology, but all we do is cut ourselves off. The wider the opportunities get, the less people will want to have contact with other people.

  • Well, that seems like a valid point (in your opinion) BUT technology from our experiences has made life better. The computer does not really do any thing bad. I don't cut my self off. I meet people. I can't see how a person with technology would suddenly want to disconnect with outer life. It simply make life better. (Unless you are a object-phillic ) The computer helps with simplifying life. I don't see how it may constitute for replacing a Human-being.

    Can you elaborate more?

  • no, i agree, for me technology only improves my life. My point is however, that, the wider the opportunities and possibilities of technology, the more harm can be achieved. And I think that at some point we must ask ourselves, if the advantage gained is worth the damage caused. But of course, we will never do such a thing. Progress cannot be stopped, and maybe we have try something out first before we realise that it is in fact wrong and are forced to reverse it.

  • I understand your answer but if you think about it connected people even more. I mean, think of facebook it helps us connect or private chatrooms you and your friends can decide where you would meet . But I still understand what your saying.

  • Yes. Technology has seperated people in many ways but yet we are finding new ways of communicatiing. Social networking systems are connecting each one of us again just like the phone. There will be always pros and cons to things we invent and use. The technologies wouldn't have improved over the time if there was only "good" side of it.

  • I dont think social networking sites are much use. If you think about it, they dont do anything we couldnt do in some other way, and, for some people, they do turn realtionships into "virtual" ones, which is a shame. They have their good sides, but in general they are kind of useless and you can stay in touch better in many other ways.

  • the future scares me ○☺☼

  • the only good thing shown in this video, is the absolute sync between 2 pieces of hardware, wich is remarquable... wich would also mean -> Internet Everywhere, at Anytime, and no connection lost...! Also welcome cloud computing...

  • dude people wont even know where they parked their car so u need a gps to find it maby they wont even know where they live and we all become fat... and so on

  • Japan is the most advanced in mobile phones, almost the whole world admit this!

  • Take note: the device at @ 2:15 looks a lot like the iPhone as it is today. The ORIGINAL iPhone came out 2 months AFTER this video was uploaded to youtube.

  • Creepy, you think the Government are in on it?

  • this is just a prediction

  • lol. they had gps like that in fast and furious.

  • Y para efectos practicos eso para que sirve?

  • Most of this is doable today, the only problem is safety/security and how people with react to the changes.

An example is the video-call function in phones, it was revolutionary when it came but now people hardy use it since they take it for granted and feel uncomfortable using it.

  • They say if it isn't broke don't fix it. Well, technologies that try to enrich what we already do are much less successful than technologies that allow us to do what we are already doing more efficiently.

  • Not that impressive - the ARM powered iPhone is already providing this, in addition Android applications are also providing this form of functionality.

Have a look at augmented reality applications too. What's really going to be interesting is when facebook and face recognition are placed together so you can just photo-id the person for swapping those hot date details!

  • Actually I don't think face recognition would be the best way to go about doing that. The better solution would be if you get out your phone, and it shows you a face/name list of everyone in your vicinity and you select the face to request a contact info share.

  • what is that model called?

ther are alota shitie knok offs on ebay

  • It terminates me.

    Nice One Xig

  • i hope i'm still alive for the Future

  • its pretty amazing how technology is now but this looks freakin awsum!!! the tv,watch, phone all of it looks cool, i want to see how long it takes b4 i can really say this is a futuristic type of living

  • microsoft's project natal, anyone?

  • that will be something huge for everyone. its also a good example of how much technology has inhanced.

  • SKYNET WILL RULL.... be ready all peasants resistance is futile

  • This is now,Just not everyone has it.

    It plays with me!

    It talks to me!

    It Ohhh! Terminates me!

    Terminator is near!

    Smile your being watched.

  • This could happen in less than 10 years.Anyone wants to bet

  • some aspects yes but not all of them although people are researching this type of stuff right now it will take awhile for them to implement it into the real world but yes this most likely will happen

  • so, companies are actually researching onto stuff like this?

  • cool.

  • All I can see is this is a leak of information.... this is like identity theft heaven for any hacker and their mom.

  • can we share the internet with GPS satellites for these wifi devices?

  • I think in this kind of a future that yes, this feature would most likely be implemented, but then again, I did not design the product, and it is only a concept for now, so I can't guarantee anything for now.

  • lmao any1 else notice how they still had him driving a regular gas powered car?? haha nice try but that was a total FAIL.

  • it's just an example of what the future technology would be like. OFCOUSE they won't have regular gas cars back then. DUH!

  • That PC you talk to will be so useful in computer labs.

  • GLaDOS?

  • nice concept, nice loking hardware. but we need a technocratic society to make all this truely revolutionary and break free from monetary economics, then we can provide systems without redundant life cycles that are truely awesome

  • this is very cool concept

  • shoddy business practices.and exaggerated power consumption on cpus and vidcards have begun to send desktops to extinction, i actually predicted this way back -the only way atx could desktops can survive this is if laptop and net top cpus were made to fit atx motherboards.and vidcard power consumption dropped significantly

  • WHAT?!

    learn to spell!

  • this vid is around 3 or 4 years ago, don't make a mess about the iphone and stuff

  • Actually it's kind of amazing that they have a technology already that they predicted in this movie. :P

  • i dont think the iphone is that capable.try....the archos7.the only difference is,it doesnt have a keyboard or phone capabilities.check it out

  • all this functionality already exists, it just hasnt been harnessed and there is no set industry standard for these devices. companies are running rampant producing their own series and models of various devices but none are cross-compatible so in the mean time, it is just a giant clusterfuck - but as i said, this is nothing new and this technology has been around for a few years now

  • how would you know? Mr. Bill Gates

  • future? or present?

  • Whichever it is, this looks pretty futuristic to me.

  • -Wow... i need this... xD

  • We decide if we will use this technology or not. I believe its a matter of implementing current technology, a lot of innovating.

  • great video but use it with restraint and limited and should not make life automatic

  • i want that device in car, big touch screen with small borders

  • Oh shit, cross that, it does.

  • CAUTION; related has no space. Fix that!!!

  • watch?v=BMpUL3C5BGo&feature=related

    Link of video for song.

  • I just saw this song on a Chronicle of Narnia commercial. It was the same exact song. I have no idea were they found it, but I would like to find out. I saw it on Sci-Fi HD.

  • the first song is an instrumental version of clocks by coldplay, and the second song is Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata

    :)

  • if you are from the future please tell me the laptops will be only with the desktop without keyboard and mouse?

  • AHHHH no

why can't the world just go back to the way it was in the 1970's :( everything should be simple and sincere..

what is everything becoming ? we already have enough technology...:(

  • Who is forcing you to invest in this technology?

  • Great videoo

  • this video is posible whit OpenSource

  • They have the iphone in red in the future??!!!?!?!

    DO WANT!

  • ok, this is totally scary. i wouldn't want to live like that. it's like some tripped out cyber world where people don't actually live and are even less connected to each other.

  • What the hell is that first song???!!! I need to find out before my head explodes! Any help appreciated!

  • I think it's U2 instrumental

  • if you have an iPhone you can use shazaam to figure it out

  • Well, oddly enough, I do. I'll try it out tomorrow. (16 Oct). Shazaam seems to work really well. I only want to try this tomorrow because it's kinda' late here.

  • It's a corporate knockoff of Coldplay's Clocks.

  • one day we're gonna watch this and laugh at how primitive all this stuff is

  • Fucking gooood! Great!

  • Well many of these things already work. The computer can read out stuff and you can reply in voice, not this accurate and with this level of freedom. But dragon natural speech is alright. Also to get mails via a portable device, i get a beep when i get mail, my n95 is connected to the internet via turbo 3g.

You have to drive yourself, but this is not that far off. I mean, the clock screen ting is here.

  • Sickness.

  • When the hell are they going to automate cars, im sick of having to pilot my vehicle like some peasant, the car should do that for me

  • The day that Windows doesn't crash...

  • Epic

  • scary... rather move to a deserted island

  • Now this is the story all about how

My life got flipped, turned upside down

And Id like to take a minute just sit right there

Ill tell you how I became the prince of a town called bel-air

In west philadelfia born and raised

On the playground where I spent most of my dayz

Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool

And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school

When a couple of guys they were up to no good

Started making trouble in my neighbourhood

  • Iphone almost do these things

  • Holy fanboy batman... Not even close.

  • we need a radical improvement on current cpu technologies and fuel cell for a true next generation replacement to windows 7 and beyond all we are going to get is nicer GUI's thats it for the next 25yrs

  • This technology isn't very far-fetched at all. The most difficult part of it is the convergance of so many systems. Much corporate hand shaking would have to be done for this to work.

  • I cant wait to have a big matrix spike in my head, I'll just live virtually, have virtual dinner in my head and then just have nutrients pumped into my body thru an IV. I'll only be in reality to have sex with my fuck-bot, because cyber-sex still doesn't feel the same, even in the future :/

    Whoopee we're all gonna die!

  • yeeyyy we all have chips in our hands...everybody knows who and where we are, get real people!!!

and isn't more easier to push a button with one hand than having to hold a stupid touch with one and do acrobats with the other....same shit with the voice control

  • it looks like year 2020

  • Thi video from Intel represents our vision for centrafuse and the ultimate potential for our touch-friendly, voice-controlled, user interface software platform. Just Google Centrafuse to find out more about the software!

  • This video from Intel represents our vision for Centrafuse and the ultimate potential for our touch-friendly, voice-controlled, user interface software platform. Just Google 'Centrafuse' to find out more about the software!

  • OMG I want this imagine playing games like Crysis and Far Cry 2 etc on that portable powerhouse UMPC...........

  • that is something that is possible today for individuals. and will be possible in the future for most of us. there is a big gap. so people who are informed of what's going on around us with the technology want more (i guess, cause i want more) that is not enought. what did they show in the movie? a man who is going to... work? having all these devices? he is going to work... arhhh )

  • the girl in the subway looks like ashley simpson

  • Cool video!

  • holy shit... thats sick blood!

  • Might be it so that technology will soon level in this way in the near future that is inevitable, but what dazzles me is minority(perhaps) will be able to attain such devices, then again use up all your saved money. I ask myself if all this is truly a neccesity. I mean honestly not to reign on or be rude but it seems that technology like this might increment stagnation throughout society, then again after dacades it will be the mode and fashion of life if I termed that correctly.

  • Fuels the economy.

  • red device looks like iphone

  • Intel ftw

  • I tried voice command on vista, it gets old fast and make you dizzy after a while, and extremly slow, I stil prefer to use a mouse and keyboard.

  • me too

  • well, and who said that microsoft will be able to make this possible ? :-)

  • I tried talking to my microwave, I was dissatisfied as well.

  • Right i want those toys and i want them now or im gonna scream like a wild bitch on heat!!

  • toys ? ... maybe for you ... its sophisticated technological ecosystem .... this is about years of developement.

  • ooooooohhhh get her

  • Stuff like that exists already, but, in real life, you don't have that much silence or peacefulness to do voice entry anywhere. Of course, that's why we have affordable noise reducing headsets like that wrap around one and the jawbone and the blueant (etc etc) for the general consumer.

... Yeah so, now lets have a contrasting video that shows how ultra mobile stuff "restricts you" eh?

  • did this device come out yet?

  • is that another ihpone clone?

  • stupid apple fanboy/girl!! all this has been in worked on WAAAAYYYYYY before the phone was even thought of...

  • fuk u stupid umpc fanboy/girl!

  • This is not the future but now.

    Check out Telemagnetics

  • Dude you need one if you can not even spell WANT

  • I wont one

  • looks pretty damn cool... !

  • OMG in the future I could have a 1.30 pm meeting?

  • awsome,future is here.

  • microsoft is all most there.

    just about 20 years

  • Sorry, but talking like a robot to some screen displaying data hardly strikes me as "futuristic". Speech recognition technology is not quite there yet. Nanotechnology, however, will make a lot of things possible that we cannot even think of at this moment - the question is when it will happen. Gotta love the iPhone-ish look of the devices. Heh.

  • bullshit :D

  • what if someone can't speak?

  • gues what the keyboard is for:P

  • Has any one ever heard of neural implants like for goodness sake all we will need is our brains in the future. Like for instance we will probably be able to see an entire computer interface that only you can see with these implants. we would be able to interact with electronics with just thought alone. I know this sounds way far in the future but in reality it's not. We already have implants that will let us interact with computers.Maybe even with such implants we could speed up thought process

  • Yeah.. Sure, in about 100 years minimum. Sure, they could probably create neural interfaces in less time than that, but will it be safe, practical and affordable before then? Certainly NOT... Stuff like in this video will be practical within 5 to 15 years at the latest.

    Quit daydreaming.

  • Well all I can say is you never know what may happen in the future for sure.I didn't have enough space to label the possible risks as well.

  • I'd be surprised if it actually took that long. If you look at human tech development it tends to increase exponentially with our increase in knowledge. Essentially, the more we learn and master, the faster we learn and master new things.

  • nope this is as good as it gets, until were wet wired, I mean, shit will get smaller and faster, slicker looking, more secure, but thats about it.

  • This is not the future. Technology of the future would just have all of our visual world be integrated with digital contact lenses. You would never need to touch anything, your lenses would recognise evrything you come in contact with and super impose over that world. The cell phones and computers, tv's, navagational system, virtual sex, even the way the world looks to you will be changeable with a software upload. Think about it. Matrix anyone?
