you can do 2x shoryuken without kara cancelling as well if you get the anti-air one early enough to link a second one with some characters, that's probably what you did.

this isnt hard at all. i dono what ur talkin about with cancelling and shit i can just do two normal shoryukens and get it. its just that it has to be small punch shoryuken otherwise recovery time is too much and it wont work. another good combo people should know, which almost nobody seems to use except for me is m.punch h.punch s.punch.shoryuken and immediately after EX h.punch.shoryuken. its very hard to get the timing for that right, you only have a split second to get it but it can be done.
two short shoryukens can only be linked WITHOUT kara'ing if it's done in the corner (doesn't work on all characters) It can also be linked WITHOUT kara'ing if you shoryu the opponent when he's airborn.
If the opponent is NOT in the corner, then the only way to double shoryu from standing is to kara-shoryu

I think you have a problem karaing the low roundhouse... need to get that down pat. Practice going from jap dp to just low roundhouse, then try karaing it. After a while you should be able to do it once in a while.

Yep, I agree with ssmaster. Low forward is the better option to pull the Kara off, at least in my experience. I manage to hit the DP 85% of the time now.

No reason why it wouldn't exist in MvC2, the only thing you need to understand is there's no reason for karas since supers and specials come out very fast and spacing is hardly an issue since most characters cover the distance very well in MvC2. Plus they stick with classic throwing so it's impossible to kara those.
You don't even know. You haven't bothered researching. You can kara cancel any normal into special, the only thing is the distance you gain from the normal. Most of the games you don't get that, however gief gets distance in A3 from his kara throw. In ST you kara cancel fierce and strong fireballs with jab/short to shorten recovery times. Plus karacanceling makes it tremendously easier to chain supers in ST.

It may be easier to do it with a joystick but what about a ps2 controller?? Im not getting the kara to connect mid screen but in the corners. What am i doing wrong?
its pretty hard to do with controllers , my advice to you is just move to a stick , your inputs have to be super smooth and precise on a controller. So u can do it but its take a little longer than with a stick . you could try to preset buttons on the L1 and L2 so you just slide your fingers across . but iono if tournaments let you preset

Kara in japanese means "empty". What you do is input the DP motion, but while holding down/forward, press Roundhouse and then IMMEDIATELY press Jab. The timing is very strict; if you do it any faster, you'll be hitting both buttons at the same time.
the 1st shoryuken has to be the lowest punch..then the other shoryuken can be either or. i think the weakest punch is the only one that can juggle, or from what i've read in tutorials.
I get the concept of these advance moves, but it's a pain in the ass to do them on gamepad. I can only get them 85% of the time, and after long play, my thumb reflexes get too tired to input QCFx2 quickly. Analog stick helps, but it cripples my DPM.
I think what I need is one of those 8-way joysticks I've been hearing about.

Ryu and Akuma's SRKs recover too slow, and also take into consideration that a karaSRK has a slightly slower startup than a regular one, since you're tacking on the first couple of frames of the move you kara'ed off of.

Kara-canceling is the ONLY way to chain supers in ST. Also, Gief and R. Mika have kara 360s in A3. I'm not sure if they're actually useful, though.

You do it before your 2nd SRK.
So after the 1st SRK, you have to do this motion
toward, down, diagonal down (HOLD) , Roundhouse kara into Jab
So make sure you do that kara after the motion and holding diagonal down helps a lot.

ryu's shoryu goes to high to technically do 2 of them but you can kara cancel it
lets say you pressure someone in the corner with a fierce punch after blockstun you can use a kara skoryu to punish them (its not reliable) ;)

Technically, you can do a karashoryu with any character that has one. Ken's is the only one you'll ever need to learn, though.

its a tough one to do, it's definitely beyond me, but a lot of japanese players like Keeper, or Georgia do it.. Ask Ed Ma or Mike Watson for a tutorial =)
