This song was supposely inspired by the book "the perfume" by Patrick Suskind, and supposely it talks about the caracteristic smell of redhead girls.

In the book, the main character is apparently obssesed with this smell, he had the best nose of paris and the two most beautiful smells he smelt were from Redhead girls. Read the book, its awesome(you can always watch the movie if you dont like to read)

Just thought I'd correct you =) Studied this book for my first year at Uni on english literature. The asshole that i be. =) Oh and the movie misses a lot of the most important parts out, like Father Terrier (If you consider the beginning to be important). I recommend the book over the film <3

@Karlitops93 OMG! I didnt know that! I had just started reading that book in spanish (i had to bust out w/ my spanish dictionary at least five times a page) and i got to the part where he kills the redhead girl...its a very trippy book... I like it so far... but thats an awesome lil factoid.

Yeah I got mixed up in the details. I really wish I could read french better. I bought the book and would like to finish it but I have such a hard time with it. It says "Grenouille" and I say "Gren.. gotcha" or it says "Pelissir" and I say "fill in the blank."

I can't say anything about this song. It's so beautiful. It's sad in a way, yet paradoxically hopefully. It's so ethereal, and I can easily get lost in the chords of the ambient piano in the background, or even just the stunning vocal.
